Dear Valued Customer,
In order to maintain our unrivaled service to customers, we find it necessary to implement a few changes in our current process.
We have decided to implement new cut off times for all servicing areas. Our new cut off times will ensure that you will receive your products in a timely fashion. We will have customer service personnel here past 5PM to further assist you.
Orders received after the cut off time will still be available for pick-up after 11am the following day at our Catanese Classics location on Merwin Ave.

OPEN BLUE COBIA
Product of: Panama
Situated in a protected no-take zone of 2,500 acres of water, this pristine natural environment is home only to Open Blue and indigenous marine species. Here, sustainability is woven into every aspect of operation from protected waters to improving community impact. Chefs love this versatile fish for its firm flesh, mild flavor, and versatility in the kitchen. GULF BLACK GROUPER

Groupers have a mild but distinct flavor, somewhere between bass and halibut. The taste of most groupers is similar, with slight differences in flavor and texture, depending on size, species and location of harvest. and excellent for baking, broiling, frying, or grilling.

- Lake Erie production has all but shut down. Normally this is about a month early when looking back over the last several years, but last year the supply line shut off right about the same time. With water temps still in the 50’s it’s not the typical mid-summer 70-degree scenario we are used to.
- Tuna supplies have been extremely short over the last week. Prices have approached all-time highs and the supply needed for the strong worldwide demand just is not there.
- Mahi availability continues to be a struggle.
- Pacific oyster supplies are getting squeezed by both demand and heat issues. Farmers are limiting the varieties they are harvesting in order to limit the risk of QC issues down the road. Specialty oysters like Kusshi and Kumamoto are being allocated.
- Atlantic Salmon prices continue to rise as demand increases. Wild Salmon prices, however, continue to fall as we move further into the season.
- We are seeing a large volume Wild Striped bass coming from the Boston and NY, so prices are expected to fall. Just a reminder that Pacifico Striped Bass is always available.
- Overall catch on Flounder is a little low, causing the prices to fluctuate. We are hoping to see some consistency after the holiday.
- Bronzini prices are high and will remain high for at least of couple of months. This is due to COVID and increasing demand.
- Icelandic product looks good! Great supply across the board, however, expect the mid-summer slow down to hit soon.
- Continued challenges for the crabmeat industry. As mentioned in weeks past, demand is extremely high and the supply is not there.
- Soft Crab supply is basically non-existent. The frozen supply is also low due to another bad season, and high demand.
