ONO WAHOO FILLET
Product of: Ecuador
Long-line caught in the open ocean of the Pacific, Ono Wahoo is known to be one of the fastest fish in the sea and highly valued for its delicious flavor. Feeding mainly on fish and squid, Wahoo is white, flaky and more delicate in texture, compared to other fast swimming species. Not only does Wahoo swim fast, but it sells fast and supply is limited so get it while you can!

|
CALIFORNIA TROLL KING SALMON
Product of: USA
King Salmon are the largest of the five commercially harvested salmon from the North Pacific, and also the least abundant on the market. Kings can be prepared in a variety of ways, including grilling, roasting, baking, sauteing, broiling, poaching or smoking and holds flavor extremely well. We suggest using a light marinade through the summer months, followed by throwing it on the grill!

- Lake Erie fishing has slowed way down. Most suppliers are not even sending trucks because they don't have any fish, so we expect supplies to get pretty tight. With that being said, Walleye shouldn't shut down completely yet... Fishing has made a seasonal slowdown and then the weekend storms made matters worse. The storms were a lot worse over the lake and in the Canadian ports than down here. Hopefully we will get something over the weekend or early next week.
- Expect price increases and supply challenges for Atlantic Salmon.
- We are seeing some price relief with the wild salmon market. Sockeyes continue to land bringing the prices way down, and kings are starting to ramp up slowly bringing the prices down.
- Flounder prices are falling, as demand has started to decrease.
- Wild Striped Bass season is off to a slow start. Rhode Island closes tomorrow and will reopen on the the first of July, so until then, we will receive fish from New York, Maryland, and Boston.
- Iceland is going through their typical summer slowdown as some boats have hit their quota and some plants close through the summer months.
- The fresh crab market is still struggling and availability remains a concern. Maryland supply is down, North Carolina supply is limited and the Gulf supply is limited due to the weekend's storms.
- The same goes for pasteurized crabmeat... limited availability. Prices are strong across the board.
- The Soft Crab run is slow with low supply coming out of Maryland and North Carolina.
- Clams have been great quality, oyster supply remains consistent and we can't tell you enough, keep your mussels iced!
- Domestic Shrimp inventories are low across the board with both vendors and producers. Imported shrimp have been experience shipping delays.
