Product of: New Zealand
Because of strict regulations in place, it is not often that we see Bluefin Tuna in house so now is the time to take advantage! Bluefin Tuna are the largest of the commercially harvested tuna species and occupy temperate and tropical waters worldwide. Because of the high fat content, bluefin is very distinct in flavor and prized as sashimi or sushi.

Product Of: New Zealand (Thurs Arrival)
Native to New Zealand, Greenshell Mussels thrive in the cold, clean waters where they are grown using suspension. The mussels take roughly 12-18 months to mature to market size, and in that time they can filter up to 200 liters of water per day. Greenshell Mussels are plump and rich in flavor, and a bit fattier and more tender than wild mussels.

- The salmon market is showing signs of better supply, and with holiday demands in the past, the prices are starting to drop.
- The Copper River opener for Monday was cancelled which makes 4 openings in a row that were cancelled. The escapement has been good for the last few days, so they will probably open it on Thursday. We have some Resurrection Bay Sockeye that arrived yesterday. Overall, prices remain firm, but should change soon with quantities slowly coming out of other locations.
- Swordfish and Tuna production is up which has lowered the prices.
- Limited supply on Flounder.
- The MA Wild Striped Bass Season opens next week!
- Prices are starting to move up on Icelandic product, however this is typical for the summer months.
- Availability on lake fish has been steady, however we are entering the warmer months with catch quantities can quickly change with the warming summer temps.
- Live Lobster landings have increased, and additional US openings are on the horizon which should bring increased availability and stable pricing.
- Soft Shell Crab supplies are limited which will result in a price increase across the board.
- Just a weekly reminder to keep your mussels iced! It is essential between both spawning and increasing summer temps.
