- The salmon market continues to go through the roof. Prices on Faroe, Wester Ross, Canadian, Sixty South, and Chilean are all up. Chilean supply is extremely tight and quantities in house are limited. Prices in the market are expected to rise yet again next week, but hopes are that the week after the holiday, prices will start fall.
- The wild salmon season is open! Copper River opened last week with high prices on the dock, as expected. Resurrection Bay is scheduled to open in a weekend Bristol Bay soon after. First of the season Copper River Sockeye Salmon is expected to arrive here on Friday.
- Swordfish went from feast to famine over the last week. There was basically no fish to buy and prices are high due to the holiday weekend and lunar cycle.
- Tuna prices remain firm for the holiday weekend.
- Some XL-Stripe Bass just arrived and looks beautiful! The season started early and fishing has been off to a slow start, bringing the prices up.
- Flounder market continues to be tight, and there is not much relief in sight.
- Mahi season in Ecuador is coming to an end and less fish are landing.
- Snapper availability is a little better this week and hopefully this will continue. We have been bringing in as much as we can get our hands on.
- Icelandic product remains consistent and beautiful.
- Lake Fish pricing and availability are steady.
- Softshell Crab supply for this week is good. The North Carolina run is dwindling, however the Maryland market is next!
- The crabmeat market remains a mess with very short supply and extremely high demand.
- An increase could be coming in the live lobster market.
