Market Update:

  • Atlantic Salmon- New week, same story. Supply is short while demand continues to increase which means prices continue to increase.
  • Tuna is expensive, and supplies are limited with no relief in the sight. Sword on the hand is at a very attractive price and will remain an excellent summer menu option!
  • Striped Bass has limited fishing with very high prices, mainly due to the heat.
  • Flounder prices are fluctuating due to fluctuating closures and openings, in addition to the recent storm. Monkfish catch was also affected
  • Black bass prices are high despise the MA opening.
  • Icelandic Fishery is going through its normal summer slow down w/ some boats reaching their quota and plants closing for the summer.
  • Lake Fish- Walleye is currently available, and limited yellow perch in house.
  • Pacific Oysters have arrived today, however the suppliers aren't shipping anything additional for the end of the week. The growers aren't harvesting due to water temps and fear of compromised shelf life. There are also more cases of vibrio which goes hand in hand with high water temps.
  • Oyster from the East coast have a lot of areas under rain closure, but we still have a decent supply in house.
  • Marshall Cove mussels arrived yesterday but they are now under rain closure so we will be out of supply later in the week.
