The world's biggest soccer tournament is screening at the library!
Library F.C. is a free community soccer viewing party screening every match that falls during library operating hours in our Small Program Room and Garden. Light refreshments will be provided, and all ages are welcome, whether you're a lifelong supporter or watching for the first time.
Note: If a match extends into overtime near closing time, supporters will need to continue watching elsewhere. Check our calendar for upcoming match dates and times.

Online scams and financial fraud are on the rise, and older adults are among the most frequently targeted.
This informative workshop, presented by Donna Olah-Reiken, founder of Preferred Business Management Solutions and The Olah Network, covers the most common digital threats facing people today, including phishing schemes, identity theft, and financial exploitation. Donna brings real-world experience as a Personal Financial Manager and advocate for older adults, and has been featured in The New York Times and MarketWatch.
Participants will leave with practical strategies to protect their personal information, their finances, and their loved ones. Registration is encouraged.

Follow the story, then follow the signs. The library's latest StoryWalk features excerpts from Killer Underwear Invasion! How to Spot Fake News, Disinformation, and Conspiracy Theories by Elise Gravel, a graphic novel that tackles media literacy in a fun and totally accessible way.
Begin your self-guided walk at 5th and Garden Street, follow the signs through the park, and finish the story right in front of the Main Library. After your walk, stop into the Children's Room for crafts and stickers to go along with your reading.

This Pride Month, the library is hosting a free all-day film festival drawn entirely from our Kanopy collection.
Eight films spanning documentary, drama, and experimental storytelling explore queer and transgender identity, chosen family, immigrant experience, and the full complexity of living as yourself. The program features voices from Ireland, Canada, and the United States across generations and communities. Films screen back to back throughout the day.
Drop in for one or stay for all. No registration required. Ages 18+ recommended.

Join the 2026 BCCLS Scavenger Hunt - a fun-filled journey to discover the BCCLS logo hidden in participating libraries.
Here’s how it works:
- Pick up your scavenger hunt form at either Hoboken Public Library location starting June 15.
- Visit at least 3 libraries between June 15 and August 15, 2026, and find the hidden BCCLS logo.
- Get your form stamped with each library’s property stamp as proof of your discovery!
- Return your form to any BCCLS library by August 29, 2026.

Therapy Dog Story Time

Meet Riley Maverick Mills, the library's favorite four-legged guest!
In a safe enviornment, early readers get to practice their skills out loud to the best possible audience: a calm, patient, and very good therapy dog. Reading aloud to animals has been shown to build confidence and reduce anxiety, making this a wonderful experience for kids who are just finding their footing as readers.
Books will be available to choose from, and every participant takes home a special Riley-themed gift and coloring page.
For children ages 6 and up.
