Trains & Christmas -
We've Got it Covered!
For generations, trains and Christmas have gone together in so many ways. Whether it’s traveling to holiday destinations by rail, or discovering a new electric train set under the tree on Christmas morning, countless memories can be traced back to this wondrous mode of transportation.

The Museum of the American Railroad is making new memories this holiday season with a Christmas-themed indoor model train experience at TrainTopia. Located in the Frisco Discovery Center, the exhibit features 2,500 sq. ft. of operating model trains. And, if little trains aren’t enough, we’ve added more guided tours of the big trains outside to our holiday schedule of activities.

TrainTopia, now 5 months old, continues to amaze guests and exceed expectations for attendance and the visitor experience. We’ve taken it to a higher level for the holidays, with a new sound system, simulated snowfall through enhanced lighting, and special visits by Santa himself. You won’t want to miss this holiday experience that’s destined to become an annual tradition. While TrainTopia is open year-round, the Christmas themed experience ends Sunday, January 6 th . Don’t miss out on this memorable, unique opportunity for kids of all ages!
