Our beloved Colorado Rockies didn't make it into the playoffs this year, but one of their final games of the season had major impact on Clothes To Kids of Denver.
Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman (pictured here volunteering at Clothes To Kids this summer) hit two home runs in the team's September 26 game against the Chicago White Sox, resulting in victory for the Rockies and also helping the Cleveland Guardians clinch the American League Central Division.
After the game, some friendly exchanges on the social media platform X (led by user @GuardsJoey) inspired grateful Cleveland fans to want to support a charitable cause important to Hunter and his wife Sydney. The Goodmans named Clothes To Kids of Denver and the Guardians marketing team graciously shared the link to our Colorado Gives Profile. The post went viral and in the days since, hundreds of generous Guardians fans have donated about $25,000 (and counting!) to Clothes To Kids.
