June 2020
In-Person & Curbside Service Available!

In April and May we provided 634 wardrobes through our Curbside Service. And on June 2, we welcomed our first in-person shoppers since March! We are excited to be open again, and are taking extra precautions to protect the health of our shoppers, volunteers and staff. Take a look at our COVID-19 Safety Procedures to learn more.
Need Clothing? We are offering in-person appointments and will be continuing Curbside Service . Please call us at 720-379-4630, ext. 0 to make an appointment or to request a wardrobe for pick-up.
Clothing Donations Accepted on Fridays

We are taking clothing and shoe donations again! Currently, we can accept donations on Fridays only between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. We are in need of the basic wardrobe staples (shorts, pants, tops, shoes, etc.) but cannot accept "extras" at this time. Thank you for your support and understanding as we adjust to our new schedule and procedures.
Donating is Easy!

  • Gather your clean and ready-to-wear items. Check our updated Donation Guidelines for ideas. Please sort items by category (girls, boys, young women, young men and shoes) to save time at drop-off.
  • When you arrive, pull into our loading zone and wait in your car until any staff members or other donors are at a safe distance.
  • Empty your donations into one of our rolling bins that will be located outside of our door.
  • Please do not leave donations inside of plastic bags. Place your donations in our bins and take your bags with you to reuse.
Stand-Out Service at CTKD

Our crew of volunteer deal-finders has been putting in overtime to fill our racks. Kathy Hoskins (pictured here with two helpers from Boys Team Charity ), dropped off a load on the day we closed, and then again on the day we opened! Thank you all for working hard, even during our closure, to make sure that every shopper has a great selection.

Just before we suspended in-person service, our Student Ambassador Keira came all the way from Boulder to deliver 20 bags of unclaimed lost and found items from two schools. She has been supporting our cause for three years because of her passion for recycling and giving clothes to those who need them. Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Our friends at Garb Inc. have continued to amaze us with huge donations of brand new clothing. Garb has been donating on a regular basis since we were founded in 2008! Our shoppers feel so proud to wear such beautiful styles.

Jolene and Cassidy requested and then delivered Clothes To Kids Curbside wardrobes for each of the 32 youth living in the  Tennyson Center for Children's  residential program. We love our  nonprofit  partners!

Jennifer from I Support the Girls Denver brought us another 300 ThirdLove bras. This incredible nonprofit provides underwear and feminine hygiene products to women in need, and has already donated thousands of bras to our shoppers! Special thanks to the List Family Foundation for their financial backing of this project.

In response to some special requests from our teen shoppers, Republic Shoes (l o cated right down the street from our store) donated several pairs of new running shoes. This independent family-owned business has been a Southeast Denver staple since 1946. Thank you for continuing your generous in-kind support during these uncertain times for small businesses!

Angel Johnson , Clothes To Kids volunteer and Founder/CEO of ICONI Leggings , surprised our team last month with an online, socially-distanced check presentation via Facebook. This amazing small business donates 10% of their profits to charitable and nonprofit organizations. We can't wait to thank you in person!

Taylor packed up some lovely hygiene kits to include with our Curbside orders. They have been very much appreciated by both our students and their families.

Our wonderful staff and dedicated volunteers came to the rescue after a flood in our storage space. It was a soggy job! Not pictured, all the wonderful National Charity League volunteers who spent hours washing all the items we salvaged.
