Session Update:

Transition News:

  • At the May 29th Session meeting, the Session created a transition team consisting of two elders: Nelson Clark and Lydia Taylor, a staff member: Anna Bush, and two at-large congregation members: Laura East and Mike Branch. This team will focus on finding an interim pastor. Once this person is in place, the congregation will form a Pastor Search Committee to look for a permanent pastor.
  • Last month the Gatewoods were presented with the collected love offering.
  • We will continue to pay Griff Gatewood his full salary plus benefits through October as agreed upon in his severance package, in addition to paying for our guest ministers.

Communications Team:

  • We are continuing to find ways to keep you informed especially through the use of Realm. We are hoping to have a workshop soon to help you become more comfortable using the app.
  • We are now using Realm to take attendance. Not only will we know the number of people in attendance, we can also track who came.

Congregational Care: The Session has formed Shepherd Teams and has divided members among ten people. If you have not heard from your shepherd, you should in the next few weeks.
