Staff feature: Rachelle B., Community Case Manager
Rachelle’s journey in advocacy began about six years ago when she attended a retreat through Saprea, seeking hope and healing for her own lived experiences. Inspired by that experience, she began facilitating Finding Hope Groups with Pathways—marking the start of her professional path in advocacy and case management.
In her role as a Community Case Manager at Pathways, Rachelle works closely with survivors seeking protective orders and stalking injunctions. She accompanies them to court, helps them understand their rights, connects them with housing resources, and facilitates a weekly support group. One of the housing resources Rachelle connects families to is TANF. TANF is our housing resource for families that are either homeless or facing homelessness because of domestic violence. We assist families by helping pay for application fees, deposits, utilities, and rent for up to four months.
Rachelle is focused on expanding advocacy and case management services to Grantsville and Wendover—an accomplishment she is especially proud of. She is excited to continue growing that impact and increasing access to support in these communities.
Empathy is at the core of Rachelle’s work. Her authenticity and drive come from a deep understanding of what it feels like to be in isolating and uncertain situations. She is passionate about creating safe spaces where survivors can heal, rebuild confidence, and move forward. One of the most meaningful parts of her work is being able to say, “You did it. I’m so proud of you.”
Fun fact: Prince once held the door open for Rachelle at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas.
