Tooele Happenings

This past Independence Day,  Pathways stood for safety and support during the Tooele parade

We were proud to participate in this year’s Fourth of July parade, where our float helped raise awareness about domestic violence and the services available through our shelter and survivor advocacy center.

Our float's theme this year was "Freedom to be safe."

Thanks to our amazing team and volunteers, we distributed 800 flyers to parade attendees—along with some festive candy—to help connect more people in our community with critical resources.

A Bolder Way Forward Summit for Utah

We were proud to participate in A Bolder Way Forward’s 3rd Annual Summit—a statewide movement dedicated to advancing gender equity and driving systemic change throughout Utah.

As part of the summit, Pathways spoke on behalf of Tooele County and our domestic violence prong, sharing insights about the unique challenges survivors face and the critical role our shelter and survivor advocacy center play in their healing journey.

We're grateful for the opportunity to elevate these voices and help build a future where all girls and women in Utah can thrive.

Get involved: volunteer with Pathways

From organizing donations and supporting our shelter to helping with events and assisting at the Advocacy Center, volunteers in Tooele County play a vital role in enabling South Valley Services to serve survivors and their families. Whether it's a one-time project or ongoing support, our volunteers bring compassion, commitment, and a sense of community spirit to everything they do.

We’re grateful for each person who chooses to volunteer with us. Together, we’re building a safer, more supportive Tooele County for everyone.

Donation needs spotlight

As the school year approaches, we’re helping survivors and their children in Tooele feel confident and ready for a fresh start. Starting in August, we’ll be collecting gift cards and school essentials to give families the freedom to choose what they need most—whether it's a favorite backpack, new shoes, or notebooks that feel just right.
