Local design leaders with Widgets & Stone, The Official Studio, Matt Greenwell of UTC, and 26 Tools will lead simple design exercises and coexploration of how a brand, and an innovation district, might shape our city.
We're excited to share that Tech Goes Home CHA has graduated over 1,000 participants from across Hamilton County! We also had our largest graduation celebration at the Edney this month, with over 120 people in attendance. We're looking forward to a busy summer heading into our sixth session.
Chattanooga was selected to participate in an exciting visiting scholars program this summer, the UNC Chapel Hill Morehead-Cain Scholars Civic Collaboration Program.
The six scholars will be based at the Edney Innovation Center and will be working on ways to measure the overall progress and impact of the Innovation District.
The scholars arrived May 15 and will reside in Chattanooga for two months.
Mozilla awarded three Gigabit Community grants to The Enterprise Center to further education initiatives in Chattanooga.
The grants were for scaling the 4K Microscope pilot at STEM Chattanooga, partnering with PEF to take the 4K Aquarium/streaming into Hamilton County classrooms, and working with a developer to create a Virtual Reality Language Learning software.
