A RESOURCE FOR HR PROFESSIONALS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS IN MISSOURI
WELCOME
We're here to support you with all things HR!
The Missouri State Council of SHRM (MOSHRM) is dedicated to serving the needs of human resource professionals and SHRM affiliate chapters throughout Missouri. MOSHRM is an organization of volunteers from across Missouri who serve to advance the human resources profession. This newsletter was designed as another way to stay in touch with and to support HR professionals, and to share information about the many ways your state and local SHRM volunteers are resources for you, and a network of expertise you may not realize you have!
As I reflect on the unprecedented challenges of the past year, and the critical role of HR professionals, I’m grateful to have had a strong network of HR colleagues with diverse backgrounds as we’ve led our companies and employees through situations we never expected to face. With the impact the pandemic has had on our employees and businesses, the roll-out of COVID19 vaccinations, and employees returning to the physical office, that network is needed more now than ever.
As a state council, like many organizations, we’ve had to shift our 500+ attendee in person conference to an interactive, virtual conference. We’ve learned a lot over the last year and I’m excited to share with you the many learning and social activities we have planned! Be sure to block your calendars for August 4 - 6, 2021 - registration is open!
Finally, I hope you’ll join me on Tuesday, April 20th at 4:30 p.m.as I lead a roundtable discussion with HR practitioners from across the state as we discuss how we’re addressing COVID19 vaccinations, employee safety for those returning to the physical office, and mental well-being for ourselves and our employees.
With more than 500 SHRM chapters, the Top 25 Fundraising Chapters represent the top five percent of all SHRM chapters. These chapters have the highest yearly contributions, including gifts from the chapter plus recognition credits donated by individuals or companies on behalf of the chapter. Congratulations to SHRM of Greater St Louis for placing 6th in the top 25 for 2020! What a great accomplishment and thank you for your support of the SHRM Foundation and its work for the HR Community.

MOSHRM knows that the workplace demands on HR professionals during this pandemic have been monumental. We also know that your department’s focus will be on the safety and wellbeing of your employees as we move through 2021. Because attending in-person conferences and engaging in non-essential travel might not be an option for a majority of our attendees, we have moved this year’s conference virtual. We are also offering the entire conference for a full 90 days on-demand for those that cannot participate in the real time event!
Our interactive virtual conference platform will engage attendees, exhibitors and sponsors over three half days through inspiring keynotes, concurrent sessions with industry experts and practitioners, networking roundtables, live Q&A, team competition, virtual happy hour, mindfulness exercises, yoga, and the opportunity to win great prizes!
