Catching up with the Club

Record-Breaking Success at the Great Futures Gala

The second annual Great Futures Gala: Bright Futures, Neon Nights was the most successful fundraiser in Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County history! With Wave Resort filled to capacity, our guests danced, donated, and embraced the neon theme while raising a record-breaking $610,000 to support our life-changing programs for Monmouth County's young people. The BGCM Diamonds dance team set the tone for the evening with an inspiring performance that celebrated the talent and potential of our Club kids. We are grateful to our honorees, Nancy Karpf and Brian Cheripka, our sponsors, volunteers, board, staff, and guests...you make the future bright for Monmouth County kids!

Club Launches Preschool-Age Program

Great futures now start a little earlier! The Boys & Girls Club has launched its eighth program site, marking a significant expansion of our services to include children as young as three years old. The new preschool-age after-school program, which began last month at Bradley Elementary School in Asbury Park, gives us the ability to serve young people from age 3 through 18. We are thrilled to support more local families and give our youngest participants an early start on learning, exploration, and growth.

Teens Speak Up About Social Media and Mental Health

We were honored to welcome New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, Assemblywomen Luanne Peterpaul and Margie Donlon, and leadership from Boys & Girls Clubs in New Jersey to our Club for a listening session with our teens. Our young people shared their perspectives on social media, mental health, and what they believe young people need to thrive. Giving our teens a voice is critical to understanding the challenges they face and identifying ways to better support their well-being, both online and off.

Making Kids Future Ready

We are excited to host our third annual Future Ready Fest on November 7th, a day of college and career prep designed to give teens the skills and insights needed for a successful future. With a focus on professional development, mental health, essential soft skills, and the power of networking, the event provides invaluable guidance for their next steps.
