Dear Catechetical Leader,

For many of you, the 2022-2023 formational year is in its final weeks or months. Last week we happily announced the release of Grades 1-6 Thoughtful and Safe Videos. Now you have available to you the videos for grades 1 through 9.

We just wanted to remind everyone that per the Charter, all parishes must complete some form of Child Safety presentation for Grades 1-9.

You can do so in one of the following ways:

  1. An in-person training using the Diocesan Approved Child Safety program parameters.
  2. Showing the videos that can be found at sites.google.com/view/thoughtful-and-safe/home
  3. In a large group setting at your parish.
  4. Provide the link to your parents for completion at home.

You must report your parish completion of these videos to Joanne Winter by using the Completion Form that can be found on the website.

Should you have any questions regarding this obligation, please contact Joanne Winter at [email protected]

Prayer Requests

Please pray for Father Janusz Mocarski, who is the pastor at St. Joseph the Worker, East Patchogue. He has been in the hospital, seriously ill since December.

Pope’s Monthly Prayer Intention:

For parishes

We pray that parishes, placing communion at the center, may increasingly become communities of faith, fraternity, and welcome towards those most in need.

If you would like to include someone in our weekly prayer requests, please write to Diana Pizarro at [email protected]
