Our Mission: To proclaim Christ through faith, hope and love.

While Cathedral of Hope is not just a Sunday experience, we have things happening every day of the week, I always look forward to Sunday. It is on this day that we invite the whole community together, celebrating our small groups, smaller gatherings, and outreach ministries throughout the day, into a collective sharing of God’s love for all people.
In Galatians 5:22-23, we are reminded of the fruits of the spirit, those characteristics of faithful Christians. While the Apostle Paul distills a faithful life into one simple sentence, we know that tending to the fruits of the spirit is hard work. This Sunday we will begin a new mini-sermon series, in preparation for a longer sermon series that will also live on through the week in our small groups. We are going to explore what it takes to cultivate our faith and our spirits personally and in community.
I do hope that you will gather again this Sunday, in person or online at 8:30am, 10am, 11:45am and 1:30pm as we explore the fruits of the Spirit.
See you Sunday!

After 26 years as a staff member at Cathedral of Hope, Anita Haddy (Director of Next Steps) has announced her intention to retire on August 31, 2022.
Anita joined the staff on August 19, 1996, and has held various roles over the years, including Volunteer Coordinator, Director of Church Ministries, Executive Director, and most recently as Director of Next Steps. Throughout her tenure, she has most enjoyed helping people find their passions, discover their potential, and to serve like Jesus.
“Working here has been a wonderful experience, and I will cherish the memories forever,” Anita shared. “I have grown personally and professionally and am very pleased with the work I have done, the staff I have been privileged to work with, and the congregants I have helped to find their ministry.”
Congregants are invited to bring cards and gifts of appreciation for Anita Haddy this Sunday, August 28 as we celebrate her 26 years of ministry. Enjoy a piece of cake after worship this Sunday and wish her well in retirement!

Drop Off Times
7:45am-8:30am
9:15am-10am
11:15am-11:45am
Food pantries are often the only source of free healthy and nutritious food those experiencing food insecurity and homelessness receive. The CoH food pantry provides non-perishable groceries to our guests who come to CoH for our iCare Lunch program; they are given bags of groceries to take with them after their meal. Your generosity makes it possible for us to help others. Drop off pantry items under the Bell Wall on your way into church. If you have any question please contact Bill Martin at bmartin@cathedralofhope.com

Next week is our sign-up period for small groups. Our groups will be taking a short break so that our group leaders can get ready for our fall book study that starts on September 18th. You don’t want to miss this study of Unafraid: Moving Beyond Fear-Based Faith by Benjamin L. Corey. This will be a life-changing study, so you don’t want to be left out. Our beloved Cathedral of Hope is rapidly moving to a church of small groups not a church with small groups, so you don’t want to be on the outside of things to come. On a side note, related to our upcoming study book; there is a review that some have accessed that is a troll review. We as staff would not choose a book that was not appropriate, so please trust us and not some random review you find online. Visit our website cathedralofhope.com or email Rev. Jeremy at jrose@cathedralofhope.com to get connected to a small group.
