Greetings all. We hope you're having a great start to summer.
In addition to including the second issue of "The Northern Voice," this newsletter includes an opportunity to speak out for those suffering from food insecurity, both locally and around the world.
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decisions makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Bread (as their affectionately known) was started in the 1970s by a group of Lutheran, Roman Catholic, and Presbyterian church leaders. Moved by God’s grace in Jesus Christ, they advocate for a world without hunger. Each year, they engage in a major effort called Offering of Letters where they collect thousands of letters from people of faith from around the country to their elected officials, inspiring our leaders in Washington, D.C., to pass legislative victories that reduce hunger in the U.S. and around the world.
We would like to invite you to join this effort. Below you will find the very simple instructions on how to implement this in your parish or community as well as the actual letters that can be printed out, distributed, signed, collected, and sent.

We hope this is all very straightforward, but if you have any questions, please contact Rachel Barber at 419/738-4924 or by email.
Thanks in advance for your support and participation!!
