Cathy Harris Launches
"The Essential Women's Movement for African American Women"

Austin and Dallas business woman, Cathy Harris, launches "The Essential Women's Movement" (http://www.EssentialMentors.com), which is  a new national movement for African American women mentors, who will uplift, empower and share information with other women, girls and boys. As we work alongside of male business owners, we will refer young boys to men with 'ethical' shadowing/mentoring businesses.

This new network will be located in every city and we will form a "mobile trainer's network" for trainers who can travel from city to city. We will come up with weekly or bi-weekly action plans for the entire family by forming Masterminds, Brainstorming Sessions, Roundtables, Panel Discussions, Symposiums, Town Hall Meetings, and other serious meetings and conferences, as we provide community and virtual training in the following areas:

  • Goal Setting/Dream Mapping Workshops
  • Personal Development Workshops (Self-Esteem, Etiquette, Grooming/Personal Hygiene, Financial Literacy, Home Buying, Relationship, Self Taught vs. Formal Education, etc.)
  • Parenting Workshops (School Monitors and Tutoring Programs, Home Learning Centers, Neighborhood Bookclubs, Sistahood/Village Neighborhood Watch Programs, etc.)
  • Natural and Holistic Health Training (Home, Community and School Gardening Projects, Food Co-ops and Food Coalitions)
  • Business Workshops for Youth and Adults
  • Articles and Non-fiction Book Writing Workshops
  • Workplace and Whistleblower Training
  • Train the Trainer Workshops
Our massive mentorship programs will be "service-oriented," not "money-oriented," where we will become "100% self-sufficient" in our dealings with each other as we grow and build "legitimate" businesses. We will especially focus on matching up "Baby Boomers" with "Generation X's" and "Millennials." We ask that you not be involved in any type or Network and Multi-Level Marketing venture (Pyramid Scheme) or any other 'unethical' business practice, including businesses that don't teach self-sufficiency such as "Non-profits". Instead we ask that you investigate "For Profit" businesses.

We will not ask anyone to donate to us, but instead we will ask that everyone investigate and recommend our 'ethical' services and products to others. Everyone, no matter how young or old, has some type of skill, talent or passion, which is of value to others, so therefore, we will form business alliances, strategic partnerships and co-ops to help each other lay out our own platforms, as we form supportive 'ethical' networks around each other.

Not everyone is on social media, especially facebook.com, so it will be imperative that everyone join our mailing list at the links below. You can also sign up your own family members, friends, neighbors and colleagues yourself by going to the links and just filling in an email address, however, please inform them that you have signed them up.

If you would like to be a part of this new network and be listed in our directory and provide any of the above training in your city, or if you would like to bring this training to your city reach out to Cathy Harris at [email protected], (512) 909-7365 and join our mailing list at www.CathyHarrisInternational.com

To bring women aboard this campaign and new initiative, we will start off with virtual training through a series of youtube.com presentations, FREE weekly teleconference calls at (712) 770-4715, Pin/Access Code #243460 (backup number (716) 293-9621, every Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. (Central) starting on Jan. 31, 2017 and regular posts in e-newsletters, and we will post these advertisements on the below facebook.com and meetup.com groups so join both of these groups so you don't miss the weekly or bi-weekly action plans.

Your only qualifications to be a part of our network and this new movement is you must have a great love for the black community. Our motto is "Motivating Women to Greatness" and we are located on Facebook.com at
and  Meetup.com at

About Cathy Harris and
Why A New Movement
for Women

Who is Cathy Harris?

First of all I have nothing to hide. My life is an opened book. My name is Cathy Harris and I turned 60 years old in October 2016. After finishing up two upcoming health books entitled "Overcoming Food Deserts in Your Community: Why You Should Form a Home, School and Community Garden, Food Co-Op and Food Coalition" and "The Safe Family Movement: What You Need To Know About GMOs, Mandatory Vaccinations, Clean Air and Water, I will be releasing "Forever Young: How To Reach Your Maximum Level of Health While Looking Good and Feeling Great."

I have been living in Austin, TX for 3 years with my mate that I have known for over 30 years and we are both veterans. However, since May 2016, I have been living in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, to highlight my business in a new area.

Before that I lived in Philadelphia, PA for 2 months, 6 months in Tampa, FL, 20 years in Atlanta, GA, 5 years Miami, 18 months in El Paso, TX, 6 years in Houston, TX, 2 years in Petersburg, VA, 2 years in Butzbach and Frankfurt, Germany (as a soldier-U.S. Army), 18 years in Bowdon, GA, which is 2 hours outside of Atlanta.

In the U.S. Army  (South Carolina, Maryland, Germany), I was an Administrative Specialist for 3 and a half years. I worked directly for  5 Military Police Commanders and  5 First Sergeants. For years I typed up Article 15s and Court Martials for soldiers that I knew were innocent, however, I wasn't in a position at that time to voice my concern so I will tell my story in an upcoming book "We Were Women First - Then Soldiers."

When I lived in Atlanta, I was actively working on the streets of Atlanta as an activist and advocate with the following groups:
  • Georgia Coalition for Hunger and Homelessness, Atlanta, GA
  • Georgia Coalition for People's Agenda, Atlanta, GA
  • National Center for Human Rights Education, Atlanta, GA
  • Peoples Institute for Survival and Beyond, Atlanta, GA
  • League of Women Voters, Dekalb County, GA
  • National League of Women Voters, Washington, DC
  • Amnesty International, Atlanta, GA & Washington, DC
  • National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, Arlington, VA
  • People's Organizing Committee, New Orleans, LA
  • People's Hurricane Relief Fund and Oversight Coalition, New Orleans, LA
  • ACLU.org Atlanta & Washington, DC
  • No Fear Coalition, Washington, DC
  • The Coalition for Change, Inc., Washington, DC
  • The Haiti Support Project
  • The Institute of the Black World 21st Century
I was also heavily involved as an activist in the Pan African, Sankofa, Reparations, and other black conscious movements. While living in Atlanta, I was a member of a "Community Criminal Justice Coalition," so I know first-hand what police officers do to African Americans so I wrote the book  "Police Interactions 101: How To Interact With The Police in Your Car, On the Streets, In Your Home" at  www.AngelsPress.com .

During my time in Atlanta, I was asked to run as a Congressman and Senator, both as a Democrat and Republican, in my district, however, I never really enjoyed politics...even though I have a book on politics -- so of course I said no. And even back then, something was telling me I needed to leave Atlanta, which was a hard city to live in.

When I left Atlanta in Jan. 2013, I spent an entire year on the road and will be writing a book about my experience entitled "My Year On the Road: How I Found True Happiness."

While on the road, I launched a "National Humanitarian Tour" and visited 15 cities populated by African Americans. My goal was to teach black families how to become "self-sufficient" with my health and business initiatives so it was a very, very successful and fulfilling tour.

In April 2017, I will be launching another tour, "The Cathy Harris Empowerment Tour" and will be moving to Columbus, OH for 6 months. I also plan on visiting Detroit, MI, Brooklyn, NY and Philadelphia, PA this year. In 2018 I will be spending time in Orlando, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Miami, Fl and Charlotte, NC and the next year, I plan on moving back to Philly -- just for a few months.

I am not a grandmother yet. I am the mother of two daughters, who has Master's Degrees
and their own businesses.

Since retiring from U.S. Customs Service in 2005, and working almost 30 years for the federal government, I have been a business owner. Over 30% of my co-workers were 'former' police officers at my old job so again I understand the mindset of police officers.

I am an Empowerment and Motivational Speaker, Non-GMO Health and Wellness Expert, Advice Columnist at DearCathy.com, Self-Publishing and Business Coach at http://www.CathyHarrisInternational.com

My first book was released in in 2001, so I have been writing books for a while. The book is the main reason I was successful when I challenged my job with 10 EEOC.gov workplace complaints, including a Sexual Harassment and Whistleblower complaint.

After retiring in 2005, I started my own Empowerment and Publishing Company, AngelsPress.com, where I have 23 non-fiction e-books, 15 non-fiction paperback books and 3 non-fiction audiobooks at this time and we give seminars, workshops, webinars, and consultations on health/GMOs, business (youth & adult), self-publishing, credit repair, mandatory vaccinations and police interactions ( click here).

The biggest problem when I became a business owner was I didn't have any type of mentor so I wasn't "balanced" so after giving all my energy to my business, 2 years later I ended up housebound and bedridden "The Awakening."

I was able to cure myself through holistic and natural healing so I became a holistic and natural healer and this is how most holistic and natural healers got started - by curing their ownself.

I learned first-hand that when starting a business you always have to put your health first because "You Can't Be Wealthy, If You Are Not Healthy" and "Your Health is Your Wealth." So what we will do in this new movement is to teach everyone about "balance." You have to put your health first, then your family/financial life, then business/career - in that order.  Your new motto needs to become "Self, Family and Community" - in that order.

I started on the internet posting and writing e-newsletters in 1998 and had my own organization for many years, "Customs Employees Against Discrimination Association, Inc. (CEADA.com)," which has since been abolished. The organization was created in order to gain support for my whistleblowing activities, TheCathyHarrisStory.com, when in 1998, I went to Congress, Senate and the Media (Black Press, NNPA.org), and told that my co-workers, United States Customs Inspectors (now called "Customs Officers") were targeting African American women international travelers for abusive pat-down inspections, humiliating and demeaning strip-searches and prolonged detentions that lasted for up to 4 days, even when they were pregnant - just to make more overtime money.

Because of my whistleblowing, many changes were made to protect international travelers, especially African American women.

I blew the whistle in 1998/1999, so now I am being told that in some states, they have went back to their old ways of targeting African American international travelers. My ultimate goal was to form some type of "Civilian Review Board" to monitor DHS.gov, but it never happened so the best protection for anyone who travels internationally today is to read my books "The Cathy Harris Story: A Whistleblower Victorious Journey to Justice" and "The Failure of Homeland Insecurity: The Government's Dirty Little Secrets from an Insider" at

Both books are available as e-books and paperbacks. Both books will show you how to fight back if you are racially profiled when "Flying While Black."

Because many of the supervisors and managers at TSA.gov are former U.S. Customs Service (now called "Customs and Border Protection" or CBP.gov) employees and also fall under DHS.gov, I also wrote a book on how to deal with domestic traveling entitled  "Domestic and International Traveler's Survival Guide: How To Interact with TSA, Customs, Immigration and Other Federal Officers."

I am also a part of the " American Whistleblower Tour ," where whistleblowers speaks to colleges
and universities to educate students on why whistleblowing is essential in today's society.

As a public speaker and whistleblower, I have spoken at many universities including Princeton University, Auburn University,  Rutgers University, Tufts University, Smith College - just to name a few -- on more than one occasion as a whistleblower, but have NEVER been invited to speak at a black college or university (or sorority or fraternity), because I don't have a degree.

Educated black folks thinks only other educated black folks are the only groups that can teach black students and that's why many black communities are crumbling. None of these students know the difference between a "workplace discrimination complaint" and a "whistleblower complaint" but other communities have prepared their students.

The e-newsletter I started and ran for 15 years was "The National Black Agenda Online," where I shared national and international news with my African American audience.  At one point I had turned the e-newsletter into a
newswire service and I was charging from $99 to $150 to post services and products for other business owners so this was an easy business to set up and run, and it could especially be a thriving business today, for anyone desiring to start their own PR/newswire business or service.

After becoming a business owner, The National Black Agenda Online E-newsletter, became a newsletter for my business, AngelsPress.com E-news

Today I run my business but also post relevant and timely news with CathyHarrisNewsUpdates.com. I don't watch TV period so I receive all my news from independent media.

Why A New Movement

The movement's motto is "Motivating Women to Greatness." This new movement is not to divide up the black family, first and foremost, despite what some black men are accusing me of.  The black family will benefit tremendously, especially if we can get all women on the same page, which is simply to take care of your family and start taking care of each other again.

This new movement wasn't started because we have a new President or because of the Women's March on Washington, which had nothing at all to do with black women, but of course we need to use that momentum to reach the masses of African American women.

Black women need to give their own march --  "Black Women March on Washington." (hint, hint). We, "TEAM CATHY" and  "TEAM ESSENTIAL WOMEN," have been working to put this movement together since October 2016.

This  movement is a   "New Year's Resolution"  for all of us and we basically are just filling a need. As a business owner, when you see that there is a need in the community, then you fill it.

As a business owner, my target audience is women and since women are in charge of buying groceries and other products for the home, and unless they put their health first, they can't really do much of anything else. So until we wake up sisters, who are the CEO's of their families, the entire black family structure will continue to deteriorate.

We also need to do this because we have too many issues coming down the pipeline that will especially affect the black family.

The state of Louisiana just made it a "hate crime" to resist police arrest. Recently the state of Missouri, which for many years was called the "highest crime area" in the country, announced that students, especially black boys and girls, will now be charged a  felony, just for school yard fighting. So these two laws alone shows they are preparing to fill prisons with even more black people.

We also have GMOs spreading across the country because of the
passage of the  Dark Act in July 2016 by President Obama; over 300 new vaccinations are coming down the pipeline along with " mandatory" vaccination laws including all men, women, children, and pregnant women; the 2017 government's microchipping program for the disabled is about to commence; and over 3,000 communities, not 1,000, like we previously reported, have lead higher than Flint, MI.

Gentrification (the buying and renovation of houses and stores in deteriorated urban neighborhoods by upper or middle income
families or individuals, thus improving property values but often
displaying low-income families and small businesses) has changed the whole dynamics of many black communities.

So do we work to change the areas and cities where we are already living or do we just abandon these areas and cities and move to more thriving and productive areas or cities? These are just some of the serious questions we will be discussing in the movement.

How The Movement Will Be Set Up

Remember one of the main goals of the movement is to bring "Baby Boomers", "Generation X's" and "Millennials" back working together again -- and not just family members.

So w e will set up "The Essential Women's Movement" on Feb. 1, 2017, similar to the "Injustice Boycott"
www.InjusticeBoycott.com ,  with WEEKLY and BI-WEEKLY action plans. So if you haven't joined that group yet with Shaun King, a journalist out of New York, then do so.

Shaun's movement was launched on Dec. 5, 2016 to bring attention to racial profiling, police brutality and other injustice issues in this country so he is our "INJUSTICE WATCHDOG" and a "Millennial".

We are launching on Feb. 1, 2017, mainly to look at how we can form massive mentorship programs in black communities, especially economic empowerment programs, while we gain access to good food, water and air.

So I guess you can say I am the "FOOD WATCHDOG," since my expertise is on GMOs, amongst other things and I am a "Baby Boomer," which means I am ready to pass the torch to other younger food experts.

Since I started speaking on GMOs 10 years ago, I have been contacted by over 50 caucasian students writing papers for their colleges and universities, wanting to know more about GMOs. So certain communities are teaching their children about GMOs.

I have seen very few African Americans who also speak on GMOs so we need massive health training on GMOs in black communities. YOU CAN'T SPEAK ON HEALTH AND NOT SPEAK ON GMOs!!!

All of the below "alarming statistics" are directly caused by eating GMOs (which are processed foods):
  • BABIES: One out of every two males (or 80%) will be born with autism (a disease that affects mostly male children) by the year 2032 because of GMOs, mandatory vaccinations, toxic living environments and a mother's refusal to eat organic foods. Watch this movie with all your family members (www.VAXXEDTheMovie.com) or get ready for a "MENTALLY-RETARDED" nation.
  • PRE-TEENS: Thirteen year old children have the same veins, arteries and capillaries as persons 45 years of age or older.
  • TEENAGERS: Fatty Liver Disease use to be shown in adult alcoholic men but is now in teenagers who eat high fructose corn syrup.
  • WOMEN: 5 out of 10 women who wear weaves, wigs, hair pieces, scarves, hats, etc. are suffering from 'female pattern baldness'.
  • MEN: Fifty percent of men over the age of 40 have some form of ED (Erectile Dysfunction).
  • SENIORS: Over 60% of adults in nursing homes are in their late 40s or early 50s, so nursing homes are no longer "Old Folks Homes."
Remember, if you don't gain access to good food, organic foods, preferably "100% Certified Organic," then there isn't going to be much left to fight for.

W e are not trying to reinvent the wheel with this new movement, so we will support other issues, businesses and mentorship programs already in place and working, especially those dealing with health and business initiatives.

We will hold FREE weekly teleconference calls every Tuesday, 7:00-8:00 p.m. (Central) at  (712) 770-4715 -- Pin/Access Code #243460. The backup number is (716) 293-9621
(You can playback the recordings only for that week by dialing (712) 770-4772 and hit #).

These teleconference calls will start on Jan. 31, 2017, unless I am traveling, holidays (off on Feb. 14 for Valentine's Day), etc. so all weekly events will be announced on facebook.com and meetup.com so it will be vital for everyone to join those groups and subscribe to my e-newsletter at www.CathyHarrisInternational.com  or www.AngelsPress.com

On the weekly teleconference calls (only 100 people can participate), we need you to tell us the following about yourself:
  • What's your name (or first name)
  • What city do you live in
  • How long have you been there
  • If you have a website
  • Then explain what you need help with...or what you are trying to accomplish or what's happening in your city...
Or send a half-page "write-up" to [email protected] with the same outline so we can post it for you on facebook.com and meetup.com to try to get you some help for whatever issues you are facing...or whatever projects you are working on. The goal is for us to come together and help each other.
You can also go on my internet radio show "The Cathy Harris Show" ( www.blogtalkradio.com/TheCathyHarrisShow) to tell your story, discuss your business or any other projects that you are working on or just talk about solutions. We will also be holding several panel discussions and sharing other great information on my show.

You can always get your questions answered for FREE by emailing [email protected] and I have $50.00 consultations and coaching services by phone at www.CathyHarrisConsulting.com

Nothing is etched in stone so again this is a new movement. We will not have officers in any city but we will have representatives who will be a part of "TEAM ESSENTIAL WOMEN," who we will actively work with to bring "virtual" and "community" training to everyone who would like to be a part of the movement.

If these representatives are a business owner, in return they will be provided with free marketing and advertising through our network -- if they are not involved in anything "unethical" such as Network Marketing.

Can Men Join the Movement?

Yes, men can definitely join our facebook.com and meetup.com groups and call into the weekly conference calls. Again this movement is about uplifting each other. We need everyone's input for this new movement to work.

We will work alongside of male business owners on many projects, especially when we refer young boys to their mentorship programs and different business ventures. So many male business owners will be assisting us to bring training to their cities.

We just ask all men to show women respect and not to use the movement to pick up women, but instead be there to protect us because for many "first time" business owners -- men, women and children, it will be "uncharted territory" for them.

Remember this movement is to uplift, educate and empower your mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, cousins, wives, and significant others -- so just be there for your family. We love and need you.

How Do We Get Started?

First of all read the press release and the rest of this e-newsletter so you can fully understand our true mission for this movement. Let us know if you have any more ideas on how we can proceed or what other training we need to provide.  Then join the facebook.com and meetup.com groups.

Remember we want your ideas and input because this movement is for all of us, especially African American women. You can submit your ideas by email at [email protected], phone: (512) 909-7365, on our facebook.com and meetup.com  "messengers" or in the weekly teleconference calls.

Then start using "Word of Mouth" (It's FREE) and tell everyone you know, especially all the women in your life about this new movement. Then start looking around your communities and just spread the word on all positive projects, especially any dealing with health and business initiatives.

Remember African Americans are horrible at sharing information, so let's become better communicators and start looking out for each other by spreading the word on positive local and national events...so share, share, share information.

They are also horrible at returning texts, emails and phone calls, so let's do a better job holding each other accountable and being there for each other -- so if someone reaches out to you, try to get back with them in 24-36 hours (at least).

The WEEKLY and BI-WEEKLY action plans will be coming out on Feb. 1, 2017 and after that on every Wednesday or Thursday so be ready to see if you can keep up and take all the steps in your household.  The action plans will be posted in my e-newsletter (so subscribe today at ( www.CathyHarrisInternational.com )  and will also be posted on the facebook.com and meetup.com group.

Since the black community is in such bad shape and since women are good at "multi-tasking," it will be imperative that we take more than one action step a week -- starting on Feb. 1, 2017.

First of all everyone need to figure out what is the best way for them to learn.  Many people learn by:
  • Reading e-newsletters, articles, books or listening to audiobooks (www.audible.com)
  • Listening to teleseminars on phones
  • Watching webinars on the internet
  • Watching YouTube.com presentations on the internet
  • Watching community presentations (lectures, seminars, workshops, etc.)
  • Working with consultants or coaches - by email, in person, by phone, or on the internet, etc.
So try your best to figure out what is the best way for you to take in, retain or learn information.

Is It Too Late for
Black Folks?
An Open Letter to the
Black Community

An Open Letter to All
Black Women
"SiStars" It's Time...

This is an open letter to all African American women. We have officially launched a new movement "The Essential Women's Movement" (www.EssentialMentors.com) to WAKE UP and EMPOWER African American women and their families. This section will show just some of the issues we will be tackling as a group.

Most mothers will do
everything for their children. Therefore, we are  asking all women, young and mature -- mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, god mothers -- to join us in this fight to save our black families.

Let's Bring Back the "Grandmother Movement"

Let's bring back this grandmother who loved her family. So we are calling all grandmothers, who have stepped back from the roles of mothering their adult children and grandchildren. We need you to show up in your families' lives again. It's time to fight back and give the power back to black families.

Since sicknesses have taken over most black communities, please share some of those "Old Folks" home remedies with your family. They are finally ready to listen to you.

Let's Unite and Fight Back

For many years there has been a "War on Women" in this country, especially African American women. We hid out, stayed silent and watched the establishment go after our men and then our children, mostly because of what we were going through ourselves. So it's understandable that many of us haven't taken the right actions in our lives.

However, now it's time for all African American women to WAKE UP, FIGHT BACK and UNITE together and rebuild our own communities.

Our men, young boys (and other women) are in jail because we, black women, have sat back and allowed it, thinking that someone on a white horse was coming to rescue us.  If you are waiting on someone - YOU ARE IT!!!

Learn to protect yourself and your family and it's time to get the entire family involved. Learn how to shoot a weapon today...GO TO THE FIRING RANGE...or if you live in a rural area...find a spot and ...shoot, shoot, shoot...

Stop Putting Down Other Women

No one woman knows exactly what goes on in another woman's life. We need to stop all this jealousy and hatred for other black women. Stop giving other black women "The Stink Eye" - you know what I mean.

We need to start loving each other again.  As a mother of two daughters, if I can't reach my daughters, and they are
experiencing some type of crisis, I would like for another black woman to reach out and hold my daughters, until I can arrive safely and be there by their side.

Mature or older sisters (Baby Boomers) need to start mentoring younger women (Millennials and Generation X's) again and younger sisters need to start looking out for, respecting and gain wisdom from their elders again.

Check in on one another and make sure everyone has the "basic essentials of life" -- which are FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER.

Grow Your Hair Back And Build Your Self-Esteem

Sisters grow your hair back. It might be hard for you to feel good about yourself, if you don't have any hair.  Five out of 10 women today are suffering from "female pattern baldness" so learn 'holistically' how to grow your
hair back by reading my book "My Hair, My Crown, My Glory: A Woman's Guide to Growing Gorgeous Hair."  - available as an e-book and paperback at www.AngelsPress.com

Doctors and dermatologists are MISDIAGNOSING tons of women with "alopecia" and putting them on "female minoxidil," which causes heart attacks.

When your brain works right, you work right. The first organ that a perm hits in your body is your brain, so GO NATURAL ,   which will not only give you more energy, but when you GO NATURAL and  are  kinder
to your liver, the organ in charge of energy (also
emotions and obesity),  GOING NATURAL will stop many major diseases, including breast cancer, fibroids, depression, etc.

Fall in Love With Yourself First

Make sure your refrigerator looks like a rainbow. Food affects every area of your life from your mood, to your behavior to your happiness and your entire quality of life.

Women are in charge of buying groceries, so buy GOOD FOOD and NATURAL PRODUCTS for your home and body.

You can't help anyone if your cup is 'half-full' so put yourself first. Your new motto should become "SELF, FAMILY, and COMMUNITY" - "always" -- in that order.

Your brain regulates your entire body. Stop being in love with things and fall in love with your brain first and eat good brain foods and take brain supplements.

By doing this, it will help you make better decisions in your life, and bring more happiness into your life, especially as you go into your golden years.

So spend money on your insides (organic foods), instead of your outside. Once you fall in love with your brains, you will have more options and choices in your life.

Happiness is an inside job and women need to stop making excuses why they can't buy "organic foods," which will give them more energy and vitality, while keeping down doctor's visits.

Some women have all these beautiful things around them, then they have to cry themselves to sleep at night, because not only are they in debt, depressed and unhappy, but they eventually realize that "Money Can't Buy Happiness" (but it can buy good, clean foods). They don't have anything else but expensive things all around them. Look around - Is that YOU??? Again, happiness is an inside job and it starts with what types of foods or supplements you are feeding your brain.

Your Home Needs To Become A Learning Center

You need to show up in your family's life. Stop allowing the TV to raise your children. Some women spend hours on the phone -- gossiping, criticizing and complaining or looking at television, when their homes could literally become learning centers, where they could empower themselves and their families to build a new life.

Only you can help your children feel beautiful in their own skin. They can't learn that in any other institution but at home, so become a "proactive" parent.

Your children will imitate everything that you do. They are watching everything that you do - from the words you speak, how you say the words, when you say those words, and to whom you say those words, so instill respect back into your family.

The police are targeting black boys who sag. Stop dressing your boys like 'sagging thugs' because 'little thugs' will grow up to become 'big thugs' that are targeted by the police.

Start a Business AND/OR Allow Your Children To Start Businesses

Start businesses or allow your kids to start businesses. Our kids need something that they can be proud of - a business of their own -- so look for a "business mentor" in your family first, then look for a "reputable" business group in your community that caters to "youth entrepreneurs."

In some cities, sisters are riding 3 buses to get to work when they can stay home and help their kids start and build legitimate and prosperous businesses, or they can build family businesses, alongside of their kids.

If you want young sisters to marry instead of just moving in together with a mate then start etiquette and dating businesses and services so they can  learn how to treat a potential mate. Young sisters today need help! Remember when you see a need - fill it...that's the true nature of entrepreneurship.

It's All About Balance

It's all about balance sisters. The human body is not meant to stay still so you have to move every day so make sure that working out is part of weekly routine.  Stop saying you can't exercise because of your hairstyle -- get another hairstyle.

Be there for each other. I have spoken to tons of disgruntled "single" or "widowed" women, who have homes. They spend every dime they
have on these big, lonely, empty, homes and can't do anything else, but pay the mortgage, keep the lights on, and buy TOXIC GMO processed foods.

In some cities, entire families have moved back in together. That's fine as long as you are taking care of each other. Or ask yourself, if you own a home, do you need to sell your home and downsize  to something smaller or allow other sisters with kids to become your roommates -- so rent out a space in your home, especially if you have a basement. The goal is to "thrive" not just survive.

Live a Courageous Life

The goal is to get out there and have fun -- with or without a mate. Remember
that your soulmate might not be in your backyard. He might be in another  city or even another country, in the meantime, stay busy and put all that "sexual energy" into a hobby, a business or travel.

Form meetup.com groups in your city and network with others. People are not meant to be alone. Get off your "selfish islands" and network, network, network...with others. These meetup.com groups are a great place to meet others who have similar interests as you.  Make friends and  form business alliances, strategic partnerships and co-ops with each other.

Keep Walking Through Your Fear

Life is hard and the thing about fear is that no matter what you do in your life, chances are sometimes you might run into "FEAR."

The thing about fear is that you have to keep walking through fear until it eventually turns into "enthusiasm" and "joy" -- and it will -- I am living proof of that. But you have to keep moving beyond the fear because "EVERYTHING YOUR HEART DESIRES IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR."

The goal is to figure out your TRUE PURPOSE and get out there and live it before you leave this earth. You only live once. There are no "do overs" in this life. Do the things that you were truly put on this earth to do and have fun doing it.

Again, nothing is etched in stone in your life. So you can always backtrack and go into another direction.  And never forget that no one can complete you, but you, which means only you can carve out the type of life that you truly desire.

Good luck SiStars!!!

Quote from Facebook

The world of social media will have you believing that you don't need friends and that sisterhood among black women without catiness and juvenile gossip doesn't exist.

I so often hear women say that they don't have a lot of "female" friends because of petty drama. We HAVE to find ways to cultivate sisterhoods and friendships that don't involve competition.

We need to build friendships that are genuine, pure and real -- friendships that build character and have the ability to serve as examples to our little ones.

Our black children should dream about more
than just being alive when they grow up.

This sister lost her 9 year old son and she needed a car because she feared for her life so of course she should have used some of the funds to buy a car. However, she should have bought a cheaper car and even used the funds to move to another area.
