LAST CALL: Complete the Craft Spirits Data Project Survey by Oct. 1
|
We know it's been a tough year for many craft spirit distilleries. Shouldn't our legislators get the insider's view as opposed to hearing only about the success of the big brands? It's time to make our economic stories heard and combat the narrative.
Complete the survey by Oct. 1! The Craft Spirits Data Project, introduced in 2016, provides the needed lens for regulators to evaluate the state of our small businesses. The survey closes soon, so the clock is ticking!
Discounted Convention Passes Available to Survey Participants
Because ACSA knows your challenges, we want to offer some relief. Anyone who completes the survey will be offered 5% off an attendee pass for ACSA's Annual Distillers Convention and Vendor Trade Show in Denver, February 26-28, 2024. A code will be sent once the survey closes. Five respondents will also be awarded a waiver of full convention registration fees through a random drawing!
You do not need to be a member of ACSA to complete the survey.

A Member of the ACSA Family Needs Our Support
|
A crowdfunding campaign has been created for Rob Masters (partner/head distiller for Denver-based The Family Jones) and his wife, Heather. As Rob and Heather are both fighting cancer, the campaign hopes to reduce their burdens and support their healing. Rob is a long-standing member of ACSA and has devoted substantial time and talent through serving on a number of ACSA committees since our inception in 2013.
According to the campaign, "funds will be used to meet needs like deductibles/copayments, things they need to support [their son] Henrik, things that provide comfort or make their lives a little easier."
ACSA sends its best wishes and hopes for healing to the Masters family.

Applications for Distillers and Mentors Closes Oct. 6
Uniquely created to bring diversity into our industry, the STEPUP Foundation offers underrepresented individuals hands-on training to learn our trade from the ground level up—and there's still time to be a part of the next class.
STEPUP seeks host distilleries to provide the venue in which to teach. The commitment could be as short as four weeks to host an intern, at zero cost to the distillery.
STEPUP also seeks mentors to provide an additional motivation, positive push and guidance to interns. Mentors can operate remotely, with a flexible schedule and no experience in mentorship is required.
If you’re on the edge wondering whether this volunteer opportunity is a good fit for you, watch our videos to hear from a previous host distillery and a mentor.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 6.
