The Back to School Edition!

At John Carroll Catholic High School, we educate young men and women in a welcoming Catholic environment that promotes academic excellence, nurtures holistic integrity, and inspires Christ-like servant leadership.

Dear JCCHS Students and Families,

As we stand at the edge of a new school year together, I want to extend a warm welcome back to each of you—our students and the families who support them each day. Whether your student is returning to familiar surroundings and friends or stepping onto campus for the very first time, we are grateful you are here and excited for what we will accomplish together.

To our freshmen and families: you are starting an important new chapter. High school brings new opportunities, new responsibilities, and new friendships—students, take each day one step at a time, ask questions, and remember that you belong here; parents, thank you for encouraging confidence and faith as this transition begins. We look forward to seeing you all tonight (Wednesday, August 5) at 6pm for our New Student & Parent Orientation - it is one of our most exciting events of the year! Doors will open at 5:30pm.

To our sophomores and families: you are building momentum. Students, keep strengthening your study habits, stay involved, and continue discovering the gifts God has given you; parents, your steady support and communication make a meaningful difference - stay connected with us in partnership.

To our juniors and families: this year will ask for focus and purpose. Students, challenge yourselves academically, explore your goals for the future, and lean into growth; parents, thank you for walking alongside your student through the important decisions ahead.

To our seniors and families: this is your year to set the tone. Senior students, lead by example in kindness, integrity, and commitment, and make the most of every moment as you prepare for the next step beyond John Carroll; parents, thank you for the partnership and prayers that have helped bring your student to this milestone year.

Finally, at John Carroll, we hold high expectations because we believe in each student’s God-given potential and their holistic formation (mind, heart, body and soul). Our mission is clear:

“John Carroll Catholic High School educates young men and women in a welcoming, Catholic environment that fosters academic excellence, nurtures holistic integrity, and inspires Christ-like servant leadership.”

May God bless our students, parents, and all of your families as we begin this new school year with hope and confidence.

Sincerely,

Ronald Steele ‘04

Principal

Uniforms

Dear John Carroll Families,

I want to address the recent rumors and speculation regarding our skirt length policy.

All of our policies are rooted in our mission:

To educate young men and women in a welcoming, Catholic environment that fosters academic excellence, nurtures holistic integrity, and inspires Christ-like servant leadership.

Here Is What You Need To Know:

• The current dress code policy remains in effect as outlined in the John Carroll Student Handbook.

• Dress code enforcement, in all areas, will be a major point of emphasis for our faculty and staff as we return to school.

• Any policy changes will be communicated well in advance and will account for the operational and financial realities our families face.

• We are committed to continuing dialogue with our students on policies that directly impact them.

Thank you for your trust and your partnership in the formation of our students.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Respectfully,

Coach Steele

Emma Meurer, JCCHS '26, designed the Lighting Our Way logo seen above that will accompany us throughout the year. Her design beautifully captures the spirit of the theme and gives us a visual reminder that the light we are called to follow and to share is present within the young people we serve.
