Town Manager's Corner
Dear Cave Creek Residents & Merchants,

We are very excited to announce that the Town of Cave Creek, in partnership with Maricopa County Parks and Recreation and the Desert Foothills Land Trust, approved a Purchase Agreement to acquire 30.6 acres of privately-owned land adjacent to Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area (SCRCA). SCRCA currently consists of 2,235 acres of Open Space owned in partnership by the Town and County. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors also voted unanimously to approve the Purchase Agreement.

The Town is pleased to work with our open space partners on this effort culminating after years of study, consideration and negotiation. The Town wishes to extend its gratitude to RJ Cardin, Director of Maricopa County Parks and Recreation, and Vicki Preston, Executive Director of Desert Foothills Land Trust for all of their dedicated work in expanding recreation and conservation opportunities within the Town of Cave Creek.

Regards,
Carrie Dyrek,
Cave Creek Town Manager
The Marshal's Corner
Greetings from the Marshal,

It is fantastic seeing all of our crowds are back! Our special events are back in full swing, and based upon the amount of participation, Cave Creek has not missed a beat. We also have a couple of new farmer’s markets in the area, which is a welcome addition to Cave Creek. I am happy to see the new boulder business roll into our town…hopefully they rock it.

We have received from some of our residents increased complaints of LOUD MUSIC and announcements coming from some of the bars / restaurants. Please be mindful that we have a happy balance of commercial and residential in Cave Creek. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear friend and former councilwoman Susan Clancy. Susan was a proud Creeker whom was always willing to listen to anyone who needed help. Susan had an amazing smile that would light up a room. Susan’s knowledge of Cave Creek and willingness to always get involved will be missed by many of us. Cave Creek is a better place thanks to Susan.

I wish everyone a Happy Holidays! I hope to see you at the Stagecoach Village Western Holidays event! I have long wished Cave Creek would have a holiday festival and thank you to Stagecoach Village for answering that wish! Please remember to bring a toy or food donation for OPERATION SANTA CLAUS! I will look forward to seeing all of you there.

Happy Holidays!
Marshal Stein

It Is Well Massage Therapy
by Kristine

My name is Kristine Farias and I own It Is Well Massage Therapy by Kristine. I’ve lived my whole life in Cave Creek and am now blessed to raise my two children here as well. I graduated massage school in 2016 and worked for a local clinic until I found out I was pregnant with my second child. That’s when I decided to start my own business so I could have more time at home with my kids.

I offer customized sessions ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours and do relaxation or therapeutic deep tissue massage. I also offer various enhancements to compliment the massage. I started this career to help people feel better and now I’m blessed to have my own clinic for my work. I offer specials every month and donate to a different charity, all of which can be found HERE on my Facebook page or text me at 602-446-9246.

November 12: The 12th Annual C4
On November 12th, 2022 the 12th annual C4 (Captain Cosmo’s Crazy Challenge) Mountain Bike Race went off with a REAL BANG, thanks to Johnny Ringo. Hundreds of cyclists and their families welcomed back the event after being canceled the last two years. Kaolin Cosmo Cummens, owner of The Flat Tire Bike Shop, teamed up with Darryl Colton, former race director, for this year’s stellar event. It was a grassroots production yielding big results for the town. The best part was the event finished at Local Jonny’s Tavern with all you could eat and drink and authentic Cave Creek live music. Bummed you missed it? Don’t worry next year’s race is already being planned for Saturday November 11th, Veterans Day, so make sure not to miss out!

The Town of Cave Creek and our communities recently received a wonderful gift from the generosity of the Carefree Kiwanis. A beautiful playground fortress graces the Desert Awareness Park in the center of Cave Creek thanks to the coordinated efforts of Town volunteers and organizations. The equipment was installed at the end of July, along with a new set of swings for the young toddlers. The Playground’s ribbon cutting took place November 15 at the park.
