Cayuse SP is Coming Soon!
You will soon have access to UNLV’s new proposal and awards system - Cayuse SP. We are in the final stages of loading and validating legacy data.
 
How will you use the system?
  • View legacy (last 5 fiscal years) proposals and awards.
  • Create new proposals.
  • Route a proposal for review and approval.
  • View the status and routing progress of a proposal.
  • View funded proposals and active awards based on your assigned role and Cost Center.
  • Deans and Chairs will be able to view all proposals and awards for their college.
  • Routing for new award and contracts (both competitive and non-competitive contract) for review and approval.

Preparation
To ensure a successful go-live, we’ll be:
  • Validating setup and legacy data
  • Testing - Pre Roll Out
  • Training and answering questions
 
Targeted Timeline
  • Final OSP testing and validation to be completed by early June
  • Roll out for OSP all staff in late June
  • Soft roll out with targeted faculty groups to begin in July
  • Trainings to begin with department grant administrators to begin in August
  • Trainings for Faculty and Administrators begins in September
  • Fully implemented by September 30th

Q: Do I need a new login for Cayuse?
A: Cayuse can be accessed using your ACE ID.
Q: Can I access the system from anywhere?
A: Yes, Cayuse is a web-based application that can be accessed from any browser.
Q: When is the anticipated go-live?
A: We are working on a July 1st date for a phased in roll out.
Q: How will I get trained?
A: We are working on providing several platforms for training options (WebCampus, in person, virtual, recordings).
Q: What constitutes a proposal?
A: Anytime the university will receive extramural funding for a project (research or otherwise), a proposal must be routed in Cayuse.
