As cases and hospitalizations rise, many residents believe they need to get tested for COVID-19. However, LA County health officials stress that not everyone needs to be tested and emphasize the basic ways individuals and businesses can and should protect themselves from this virus.

Next Round of Covid-19 Relief Fund opens 7/20
|
|
The LA Regional COVID-19 Recovery Fund will deploy $3 million in grants available at $5,000 or $15,000 to micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits. There are 6 total rounds, with finalists notified after each round.

Small Business Relief Loans
|
|
This week Councilmember Buscaino announced the expansion of the Change Reaction emergency loan program into Council District 15. Greg and Jodi Perlman of
The Change Reaction
are angel donors that are assisting small businesses with loans from $5,000 to $25,000.
The program will provide:
- Interest-free loans for small businesses currently open and operating, or will be able to open upon receipt of the loan
- Loans ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 focused on businesses with 15 or fewer employees and annual revenue of $1 million or less
- Payment terms tailored to the ability of the borrower to repay
- Ongoing business support, including the restructuring of lease obligations and review of going forward operational plans
- Loan payments are deposited back into the Small Business Relief Fund for future loans to other small businesses in the community
- Eligible businesses will be required to submit:
- Proof of 12-months rent paid on time through March 2020
- Proof of submission of the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Application

Great Plates Delivered Program Extended
|
|
Great news, Great Plates Delivered has been extended until August 9th. Through LA County's Great Plates Delivered Program, you can help a local senior or business in your community.
Great Plates Delivered offers eligible seniors with three (3) home-delivered meals a day. Seniors over 65, seniors 60-64 years of age who have been diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19 or those at high-risk for COVID-19 may qualify. When you help a senior connect to Great Plates Delivered you're also helping your local restaurant, hospitality and transportation community get back to work.
