Changes you need to know about this Election






This year, for the first time, all registered voters in California will receive a ballot in the mail. If you have not registered to vote yet - it's not too late! Register to vote online. Deadline is October 19. You can also register in person through Election Day, November 3.

Vote By Mail
  • You can vote as soon as you receive your ballot.
  • Use a blue or black pen to complete the ballot.
  • Be sure to sign your name on the back of the envelope
  • Then put it in the mailbox. No stamps are necessary.

Drop Box Locations
  • You can also drop off your completed, signed ballot at a drop box location. 
  • For a list of drop box locations in Los Angeles County, visit the LA County Vote Center website. 
  • You can also drop off your ballot in-person at any Vote Center in Los Angeles County.

Voting In Person
  • Voters can safely vote in-person at ANY vote center in Los Angeles County. 
  • Some Vote Centers will open beginning Saturday, October 24. 
  • All Vote Centers will be available beginning Friday, October 30. 
  • Vote Centers will open every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the early voting period. On Election Day, November 3, Vote Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
