COVID-19 Safety Compliance Certificate Program
Local business owners can participate in a free training from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health. The department's COVID-19 Safety Compliance Certificate Program is a great opportunity to learn more about required safety protocols, and ensure the safety of your employees and the public. Although this program is voluntary, it is highly recommended. Learn more here.
West Nile Virus
Los Angeles is experiencing an increase in mosquito numbers this year. West Nile Virus (WNV) is transmitted to people and animals through the bite of an infected mosquito, and there is no cure for WNV. One in five persons infected with the virus will exhibit symptoms, which can include fever, headache, body aches, nausea, or a skin rash. You can take action to control mosquitoes in your area and reduce your WNV risk by following these tips. Sign up for local alerts from Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control, or report a mosquito issue here.
