The holidays are arriving
early this year!
Instead of having our Holiday Open House this year, we've chosen to bring our holiday decor out early! This allows us to maintain social distancing measures inside the gallery, give you great service, and provide you with plenty of space and time to shop.
Beginning November 1, you'll find an array of holiday craft in the gallery, including decorative trees, snowmen, ornaments, and more!
Whether you're shopping for holiday gifts and decorations now, or plan on waiting until the last minute, you'll find a great selection at Cedar Creek Gallery. Rest assured that our outstanding selection of craft will continue to expand and fill the gallery as we move through the holiday season. We'll be adding new items every day, and keeping the gallery fully stocked with craft from all your favorite artists!

Cedar Creek Gallery in the News!
CBS 17 paid us a visit to learn about Cedar Creek Gallery and see how Lisa Oakley’s glass pumpkins are created!
Pumpkins
You'll still find a great selection of pumpkins both in the gallery and online. Many people tell us they keep their pumpkins out all year long! They also look beautiful on a harvest table, make a great hostess gift, and are a thoughtful gesture if you can't be with your loved ones on Thanksgiving.

You've met Lisa Oakley...
but did you know she has a brother, David?
You can't choose your family, but you can write a book about them!
Just in time for the holidays, David Oakley's second book has hit the shelves at Cedar Creek Gallery! Nobody Eats Parsley is full of great stories about growing up in the Oakley family that are so ridiculous you may think they're fiction!
Many of these stories will make you laugh, but we can't guarantee they are suitable for everyone. Proceed with caution if stories with significant salty language are not to your taste!

Meet Cedar Creek Gallery
Onsite Artist:
Mike Pope
Mike’s path to finding his home at Cedar Creek Gallery as a glass blowing artist was a winding one. Mike comes from a farm near Bentonville, North Carolina that has been in his family for more than 200 years. Growing up, Mike spent summers with his grandfather on the farm, where he worked picking crops, tending animals, digging post holes and mending fences, and, as Mike says, either “building character or becoming one, I’m not sure which!”
In 2014, Mike decided to take a break from his career as a heavy equipment diesel technician and become a stay-at-home dad. It was during this time that his life-long friend Harrison Harper got in touch and asked him to help out in Lisa Oakley’s glass studio. During a typical week, Harrison and Mike would head out to Cedar Creek on weeknights, sometimes staying until three in the morning.
Mike was mesmerized by the sights, sounds, and smells of the studio. “It just overwhelmed all my senses; it hits you from all fronts . . . and from behind, too.”
Three years later in 2017, Mike stepped into his new role as a glass blowing assistant for Lisa Oakley. “I will never be able to thank Lisa Oakley and Cedar Creek enough for this situation and the way they have taken me under their wing.”
Mike continues his work as one of Lisa’s assistants but is now also a Cedar Creek Gallery onsite studio artist in his own right. He is self-taught, and has absorbed most of what he knows from watching videos and reading every book about glass blowing he can get his hands on. “It’s rare not to have to go to a university and get a fine arts degree if you want to work in glass,” Mike said.
Lisa enjoys working with Mike in the studio because he is easygoing and not afraid of trying new things. “He may be new in his glass career, but he even makes it interesting to me and tells me things I didn’t know. He just loves glass!”
