Cedar Lake Road Closure

Cedar Lake Road will be closed to through traffic from IL 120 to Nippersink Road, starting Wednesday, July 5 at 7 a.m. This section of roadway will remain closed through the end of August. The closure is necessary to replace the Squaw Creek culvert as part of the Cedar Lake Road reconstruction project.

Cedar Lake Road Realignment Meeting

The Lake County Division of Transportation is conducting a Phase I Study for a possible realignment of Cedar Lake Road between Nippersink Road and Hart Road. Please join them for an open house to learn more about the project study process and schedule, and to share your feedback. At the Public Information Meeting, you will have an opportunity to talk with project representatives, view exhibits of existing conditions, and volunteer to serve on the stakeholder involvement group.

Time:         5 – 7 p.m.

Location   Round Lake Public Works Building,

                  751 W Townline Road, Round Lake

Fremont Township Food Pantry Accepts Ensure Too!
As you know, Fremont Township has a food pantry that is run by donations from our community.  We also have home bound seniors who we deliver to that are in need of ensure.  If you are no longer in need of ensure, we are happy to accept it.
Donate Diapers to Fremont Township
We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.

If you are aware of Fremont Township residents  in need of diapers,( children or adult)  please have them contact our office at 847 223-2847 .

Electronic Recycling Opportunities
Fremont Township has a Recycle O Rama scheduled for September 30.  If you need to dispose of electronics before then, below are the drop off locations.

If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Route 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  You can drop them off in the bin on our front porch. 
Recycle Shoes, Eye Glasses, and Textiles and Yarn at Fremont Township

Did you know 85 percent of clothing ends up in the landfill? Bring your new, gently used, and used clothing to be reused or recycled.

Use our  textile bin in our parking lot.  Click here for a list of acceptable items.



Fremont Township recycles shoes year round.  You will find a bin on our front porch.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together.  

We also accept eyeglasses hearing aids and yarn.
