Our September Women Build class is a DIY project!

Tuesday, September 5, 5:30-7PM | Cost: $40

This class implements tools and techniques learned in previous classes to assemble a wine bottle display. Participants can take their project home for finishing.

ReStore volunteer Wilma has been a behind-the-scenes regular since 2015. After 35 years at Rockwell, she found herself looking for “something meaningful” to do once retired. Her former colleague Barb was searching for similar opportunities and the two friends decided volunteering together at the ReStore might be a good fit. “We both thought it was a good place for us and we’d be helping keep stuff out of the landfill.”

Over the years, she and Barb have worked their way from paint, to scrapping, and now to door knobs. The pair has volunteered together with other organizations as well. “It has been a joy for both of us to work here for the past seven or eight years. We’ve met a lot of great people over the years.”

On July 27, Habitat broke ground on our upcoming Faith Build in Marion. We would like to thank the Marion Chamber of Commerce and all our faith partners for supporting this project!
