A big thank you to everyone who voted in the Gazette Gives Back community poll.

The program awards over $500,000 in advertising credits to area nonprofits each year, based on a community-wide vote.

Thanks to your support, Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity earned credits that will amplify our outreach this year!

Paul first volunteered with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity in early 2024 through an opportunity with his church. Though he hadn’t been familiar with Habitat’s mission before, that hands-on experience led him to regularly volunteer. Since then, he has joined our team of Crew Leaders who guide volunteers on our construction sites.

"I really enjoy working with all the friendly volunteers, experienced crew leaders, and knowledgeable Habitat staff. Their work and dedication really impressed me. I’ve built many friendships working through Habitat. The group also focuses on teaching new skills to volunteers and crew leaders. And most enjoyable of all, it’s very satisfying meeting the new partner family moving in to the home you just built."

If you would like to donate your time and talent by volunteering with Habitat, please contact Kelly Murphy at kelly.murphy@cvhabitat.org or 319.366.4485, ext. 104.
