A build site volunteer day in 2011 through the Cedar Rapids Association of Area REALTORS (CRAAR) and seeing the impact of the mission led Stephanie to a spot on a fundraising committee. Since then, she has been a staple at many Habitat events. Nowadays, you can find Stephanie helping to MC our annual Bags for a Build and Recycle Gala fundraisers.

"I work in the mortgage industry, so my day to day involves helping people buy their homes--which I love. But volunteering with Habitat is equally as important, if not more so. Someone buying their home with Habitat for Humanity not only finally owns a safe and stable home (like so many of us are lucky to have) but it also creates the ability to show the next generation that it is possible. It’s creating home: a safe space to raise a family, to rest, to play, to build wealth, and to call your own."
