David began volunteering through his church in 2020 and became a crew leader after his retirement a year later.

"There are several things I love about volunteering for Habitat. I've met and had the privilege to work with many great people. I love the camaraderie with the other crew leaders, Habitat staff members, and partner families. I love Habitat's faith-based mission to provide affordable housing for partner families in our local communities. I also enjoy learning new carpentry skills and building houses."
