As we enter this season of gratitude, we’re reminded that everything Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity accomplishes begins with the people who make our mission possible.

We are deeply thankful for our donors, community partners, and sponsors, whose steadfast support and belief in our mission help us create safe, affordable housing across the Cedar Valley.

To our volunteers and crew leaders, your skill, patience, and generosity turn blueprints into homes and dreams into reality. You are the hands and hearts behind every build.

We’re equally grateful for our dedicated staff, whose passion and commitment keep our work moving forward every single day.

Together, you make it possible for families to build strength, stability, and hope—and for that, we couldn’t be more thankful.

Bingo at Lucky's

Join us tomorrow, November 12, for Bingo night at Lucky's on 16th!

A percentage of Lucky’s profits from the ENTIRE DAY go towards Habitat, so invite friends, family, co-workers and please share this with your social media friends to dine and drink at Lucky’s to benefit Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity!

Gazette Gives Back

Starting November 26, Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity will once again take part in the Gazette Gives Back campaign! This annual program allows both subscribers and non-subscribers to vote for their favorite local nonprofits to receive free advertising space through The Gazette in the coming year.

The more votes we receive, the greater our advertising reach will be in 2026—helping us share our mission, recruit volunteers, and build even more homes and hope across our community.

Stay tuned to our social media channels for more details on how you can support Cedar Valley Habitat once voting begins!

Women Build

Our Women Build classes wrapped up another incredible year of learning, laughter, and empowerment! Participants gained hands-on skills, built confidence, and formed lasting connections—all while supporting Habitat’s mission to build homes and hope in our community.

A heartfelt thank-you to all who attended and to the dedicated volunteers who shared their time and expertise to make each class possible.

And a very special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Weiss Home Improvement, for helping us continue to provide these empowering opportunities for women to learn, build, and grow.

Volunteer Spotlight: Randy

Randy first volunteered with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity in 2009 during a push to build new homes following the devastating flood of 2008. His background in construction and wide range of talents has allowed him to wear many hats for the organization. Randy currently serves on the ReStore committee.

"I like getting things done that pose a challenge or need some creative coordination. I also like that the people all have that same quality that’s great to be around - being genuinely enthusiastic"

If you would like to donate your time and talent by volunteering with Habitat, please contact Kelly Murphy at kelly.murphy@cvhabitat.org or 319.366.4485, ext. 104.
