ROUND ONE

"Pandora’s latest move of getting Pamela Anderson to be the face of Lab Grown Diamond is a checkmate and here’s why… Think back to the Baywatch version of Pamela Anderson with the fake long bleached hair extensions, loads of makeup, fake tan, fake nails, fake eyelashes and fake ... "

The red carpet was topped with a lot of diamond jewels this past week.

Adele, Diane Kruger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Patti LuPone, & Selena Gomez were dripping in diamonds.

Jennifer Lopez on the other hand was wearing creepy eye-ball surrealist jewels from Schiaparelli. Trick or Treat?

And Sofia Reyes wears Faberge (left)

GQ speaks to Vicky Reynolds, chief gemologist and vice president at Tiffany & Co., about the recent surge in red carpet celebrity men's jewelry. From the newest trend in lapel brooches to traditional necklaces, earrings and rings, men's jewelry has gotten bolder and branded.

"Blame a certain British popstar, but men’s jewellery is having a moment. The good news is there’s never been a better time to invest in a little bling. Or a lot of it, like these high-jewellery creations."

"Men’s jewellery is everywhere. This is probably not news to you if you have even a passing interest in fashion or know any young people at all. It’s not just on the runways, either; young guys are taking to earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and more with unprecedented abandon. Call it the Harry Styles effect (himself a long-time pearl enthusiast) or point to Gen-Z’s comfort with blurring the gender boundaries, but whatever it is, jewellery is having a moment."

A Gem on Wheels

By Andrea Brown

Tuesday, October 17, 2023

HeraldNet.com

Shannon Kringen’s 2010 Honda Fit is festooned with thousands of rhinestones. The car glistens down the highway and bedazzles onlookers wherever she goes.

On this day, she was at Lynnwood’s 164th Street artesian well to fill up 5-gallon jugs of water at the public tap.

In the 12-car lot there were two Teslas, a few pickups and some SUVs. Her car was the center of attention, as usual, with people snapping photos and gawking.

“I love her car,” said Salamawit Tesfamariam, of Shoreline, who took a picture and asked Kringen questions about her car.
