In 2004, a group of vendors, performers and artists, many of whom have been participating in Faire for over 45 years, formed Play Faire Productions with the goal of showcasing the finest artisans, actors and vendors ever seen.
In the spirit of a tradition born in California over 50 years ago, the Northern California Renaissance Faire brings to life a rich and vibrant 16th century Elizabethan era village. Showcasing multiple generations of artisans and performers, the Faire offers a fully immersive environment filled with music, laughter, fine food and entertainment of all kinds. Brimming with authentic sights and sounds, the streets are lined with carefully selected artists showcasing exquisite handcrafted wares, astounding performances, and decadent foods.
Romance is inevitable as knights in armor joust for the Queen's favor while ale, wine and cider flows freely. With an extensive cast of colorful characters, the village provides entertainment and amusement for all ages. Staying ahead of the trends, Play Faire Productions was first to incorporate a Celtic Rock concert series, the Dockside Alley bawdy area (21 & Over), and an Enchanted Garden for younger guests. Take a break and join us in Willingtown. Bring your Student I.D. to the box office and receive two general admission tickets for $35.00.
Military Appreciation Weekend
October 5th & 6th
Honoring Active Military, Military Families and Veterans with two general admission tickets for $35.00 with valid Military or Veteran's I.D. We encourage you to come out and sponsor a soldier, a vet or a military family member.

Hey Faire fans, have you ever considered volunteering or working at the faire? Have you always wanted a chance to perform? The faire recruits and auditions new volunteers and performers every year. Our vendors are always looking for extra help as well. If you would like more information, tune into our Podcast or visit our participation section to find out how. Our Registration Day is August 24th at 9:00am at the faire site. Huzzah!

~ Participate at the Faire ~
Workshops Start Saturday, August 24th
There are several ways to get involved at the Northern California Renaissance Faire. Naturally being a ticket bearing patron is the easiest way to participate in the fun. Patrons are welcome and encouraged to dress in Renaissance style costuming to enhance their experience but this is certainly not required.
Aside from being a Patron, the options for participating at the Northern California Renaissance include becoming a stage or street performer with our Entertainment Department, working in a booth with our Marketplace, or Volunteering for various jobs throughout the faire. Occasionally there are some positions available within Beverage, staff or production.
Want to be a part of the faire? Take a look at the participation section of our website. Workshops begin Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9:00am at the large Royal Garden Stage on the faire site.

Adult Tickets are a bargain at just $25.00.
Children 12 and under are FREE
General Parking is $10.00 (Preferred parking is also available.) Entry Fee includes full access to the Joust Tournaments, Celtic Rock Concerts, stage & street entertainment and the village of Willingtown where you can explore a world of unique crafts and merchandise.
