CELEBRATING 25 YEARS

Proud to connect our community yesterday, today, and tomorrow

We’re honored to serve our community. Being a connection to the places that matter most like work, school, appointments, and entertainment is at the heart of our mission. We’re grateful for our riders, community supporters, and dedicated team who make it all possible. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey!

WHY WE CHOOSE TRANSIT

Erin, Customer Service

What I value most about working at Freedom Transit is the opportunity to speak directly with the people in our community and help them in meaningful ways. Every conversation is a reminder that even in small moments of scheduling trips or assistance can make a very big difference in someone’s day. I’ve had the privilege of hearing countless stories and building connections that make this work incredibly rewarding. Knowing that I can help those in my own community brings me a great deal of pride to work here at Freedom Transit.

Jeff, Rider

I’ve been using this bus service for about two years now, and I also used it back in 2006. I regularly take the bus into Pittsburgh with my grandkids. I also ride the County Line A and B routes. I depend on it to get to my appointments, and it has been very reliable. The service is enjoyable, the drivers are friendly and consistently on time, and the schedule is convenient and fits well with my needs.

Ian, Deputy Executive Director

Working with Freedom Transit over the last 11 years has been an extremely gratifying journey. There’s a special kind of pride in helping our community stay connected. Seeing the dedication our team members bring to our riders is nothing short of inspiring. Our agency has proudly served the community for the past 25 years, and we are even more excited to build on that legacy as we look toward the next 25 years of service.

Emma, Outreach and Marketing

I’ve been with Freedom Transit for about three years, and I feel so fortunate to work with such a great team and our riders. I get to connect directly with our community, and being able to share information and help people use our service is incredibly rewarding. When people utilize transit, it can open up a whole new world of opportunities. I’ve seen people able to grow professionally by getting access to employment, kids reach school, and people regain independence.
