Get ready for a high-impact week of agricultural innovation, hands-on learning and Bulldog pride!

SC State University Public Service & Agriculture invites you to join us Sept. 8-12, 2026, as we celebrate our land-grant legacy and the transformative impact of teaching, research and Extension across South Carolina.

Throughout the week, we have a series of events planned:

Tuesday, Sep. 8 - Wednesday, Sept. 9

SC State PSA 101 — PSA staff will step into University 101 classrooms to introduce first-year Bulldogs to the powerful story of our land-grant heritage and its ongoing impact on education, research and service.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

SC State PSA Open House | 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. — Explore our facilities, meet the people behind our mission and learn how we’re advancing agriculture and communities across South Carolina.

Thursday, Sept. 10

MEAT UP: A Flavorful Grilling Experience (Students Only) | 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2 p.m.–4 p.m. — A hands-on, flavor-filled experience, where students will learn the art of grilling from prep to plate under expert guidance.

Friday, Sept. 11

Farmers’ Forum and Ag Showcase | 8 a.m.–3 p.m. — Producers, industry professionals, and researchers will gather at SC State University to tackle today’s agricultural challenges and opportunities.

Partners’ Reception (Invitation Only) — An evening of recognition and connection featuring panel discussions that bring together researchers, industry professionals, students, alumni and partners to share what is ahead for the future of agriculture.

Saturday, Sept. 12

PSA Alumni Breakfast | 8:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m. — Reconnect with fellow alumni at the K.W. Green Student Center featuring guest speaker Dr. Karen Poteete, veterinarian, owner of Kare Bears Cuddly Paws Mobile Pet, LLC and public health veterinarian with the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

Agricultural Showcase | 1 p.m.–4 p.m. — Enjoy family-friendly fun at the SC State Football Practice Field with ag-inspired demonstrations, food and community celebration. A game-day ticket is required to attend.

SC State Bulldogs vs. Virginia State Trojans | 6 p.m. kickoff — Close out Ag & Land-Grant Week with Bulldog pride at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium as two land-grant universities go head-to-head!
