Join us as we celebrate the wonders of American craft by recognizing the enduring value of handmade by sharing a variety of local craft artists with you. During the Celebration of
American Craft Week you can meet accomplished artists, experience the excitement of contemporary craft-making, & help raise money for
Empty Bowls by taking part in our
ART Raffle fundraiser.
Here is a bit about this national event, from the founders at
Craft Retailers & Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT): It's an opportunity to celebrate the wonders of American craft. Every day thousands of American artists share their vision and talent by producing amazing
hand-made decorative and functional objects. Every day thousands of craft retailers share their love of these items by displaying, promoting and selling them. As one craft artist put it, "this is the creative economy!"
American Craft enriches our homes, wardrobes, offices and public spaces. It contributes to our nation's economy, our balance of trade, and the fabric of our national history. It is original, beautiful and enduring, so let's tell the world!

As part of our
American Craft Week celebration, indigenous is hosting a fundraiser for the
Clay Alliance's Empty Bowls event, a charity near & dear to our heARTS. The money raised from our
ART RAFFLE will be donated to Empty Bowls~ an organization working to help end hunger that will locally benefit the
Kids Cafe of the
Freestore Foodbank.
Raffle tickets are just $1.oo donation each!
Buy as many raffle tickets as you like & place each in the box for whichever artwork you would like to win ~ "all in one or one in all". The more tickets you buy, the better your chances are to win & the more money raised for Empty Bowls.
details of raffle:
Commonly known as "penny social" or "chance auction";customers buy tickets, then place the ticket into the box that corresponds to the desired work of art. At the close of the celebration, the winning ticket for each item will be drawn from the corresponding box.

Trunk Show during our
American Craft Week celebration.
Nora creates modern jewelry with an ancient essence. "Simple geometric shapes combine with stunning natural colors. The entire line of jewelry feels archetypal and modern in unison. We work exclusively with copper, brass, and semiprecious stones. Several of the oxidized metal finishes are found only in our collections. Nawal
Motawi has collaborated with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation as well the the studios of Charley Harper to interpret a number of their impressive, original designs onto ceramic tiles with wonderful results. The Coniferous Cardinal tile (centered) was just released and here in the gallery with the full selection for your enjoyment!

We're excited to announce the
Petcasso pet sculptures will be on display at
indigenous from October 16th through the 28th.
Each of these delightful one-of-a-kind sculptures were finished by local artists for
Pets In Need
's annual gala,
Petcasso. These cat & dog sculptures are up for
auction online from October 16th through their big event on November 19th.
