NEW IBERIA, La. (November 20, 2017) -- Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens is showcasing the Joseph Jefferson Home decorated in Christmas splendor.

Come out and enjoy the sites of the holidays with decorated mantels, a beautiful Christmas tree and antique dolls on display. The Joseph Jefferson Home, built in 1870, offers guided tours 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tours are every hour on the hour. Tour the rest of the property's gardens in the cool, comfortable weather open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The gift shop is newly stocked with great items for your gift giving pleasure. Be sure to check out the sale table for unique deals. The shop is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Enjoy the finest Cajun cuisine at Café Jefferson overlooking the lake surrounded by moss draped oak trees. The Café is open for lunch Mondays - Fridays, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays - Sundays, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Bring the family and tour the home and gardens, and then enjoy lunch at Café Jefferson for a Christmas treat!

Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens is not only a beautiful getaway but a gorgeous backdrop for weddings.
