National Health Center Week
2025
| | Celebrating Community, Compassion, & Care | | |
This coming week, we proudly celebrate National Health Center Week—a time to honor the mission, partnerships, and people that make community health centers like All Care essential to the well-being of our region. From the beginning, community health centers were built on the idea that everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable care—regardless of income, insurance status, or background. Today, that vision continues to drive everything we do at All Care Health Center, serving patients across Southwest Iowa and the metro with comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health, and support services.
All Care stands strong because of strong, committed partnerships—with local nonprofits, schools, healthcare systems, city and county leaders, and community advocates. We are especially grateful to our Board of Directors, many of whom are current or former patients, for ensuring that the voices of our community guide every step forward. It takes all of us—providers, partners, advocates, and neighbors—to break down barriers and build up healthier lives.
This week, we reflect on how far we’ve come and recommit ourselves to the work ahead. From neighborhood clinics to mobile outreach, we’re expanding access, addressing social drivers of health, and investing in the future of community care. A special thank you to our Community Impact Sponsors who are celebrating alongside us and helping us create healthier communities for all. Your support strengthens our reach and deepens our impact.
| | Thank you to our sponsors | | Mobile Healthcare on the Move: Serving Students Across Council Bluffs | | |
Bluffs Country is bringing the fun as All Care’s Mobile Medical Center is rolling out to area schools this National Health Center Week, delivering care directly to students and families where they are. From sports physicals to school-required immunizations, our team is helping local students prepare for a healthy, successful school year—no appointment necessary.
We’re celebrating with the students at every stop, offering free giveaways and special appearances by Bluffs Country Radio. It’s our way of making back-to-school wellness a little more fun—and a lot more convenient.
Students planning to receive a sports physical should bring completed sports physical and consent forms.
All Care is proud to partner with the Council Bluffs Community School District to provide high-quality care and support directly on school grounds. Because when students are healthy, they’re ready to learn—and we’re here to help them start strong.
| | | Cookies, Conversation, & Community: Join Us on Tuesday, August 5th | | |
As part of our National Health Center Week celebration, we’re inviting patients, neighbors, and community members to join us for Cookies & Conversation—an engaging and meaningful event focused on listening, connection, and creativity.
From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, we’ll host patient focus groups in both Spanish and English, where All Care patients can share their experiences with our CEO and help shape the future of care at All Care. The Spanish session will be from 11am-12pm and the English sessions will be at noon and 1pm.
| | |
While you’re here, visit the MCO (Managed Care Organization) Mini Resource Fair in our lobby starting at 11:00 AM to learn about the benefits of your Medicaid plan with representatives of Molina and Wellpoint—some benefits may surprise you!
We’re also proud to host a special interactive activity from The CommUnity Project’s Wings Around Town, where guests, patients, and staff can create colorful feathers to be added to a traveling art exhibit celebrating diversity, individuality, and belonging.
We’ll provide the cookies—you bring your voice and your creativity. Event parking signs will be posted to help guide visitors. We hope to see you there for this unique opportunity to connect and contribute.

All Aboard for Impact: Ambassador Tour Highlights
All Care's Reach
| | |
On Tuesday, August 6, All Care Health Center will host a special Ambassador Tour—a guided experience for new and returning All Care Ambassadors, community partners, and invited elected officials to see firsthand the depth and reach of our care.
With transportation generously provided by SWITA, guests will board a bus at our main campus and travel to two of our outreach locations: New Visions Homeless Services and the Florence M. Lakin Health Center at MICAH House. At each stop, Ambassadors will hear directly from All Care staff about the unique care delivered to individuals experiencing homelessness and the wraparound services that support their journey toward stability.
The tour concludes with lunch and conversation back at All Care, where Ambassadors and local leaders will have the opportunity to connect with All Care’s leadership and learn more about our mission and vision for the future. For those who wish to continue exploring, a tour of the main health center will follow.
Interested in attending? Please contact Kerri Hodges at khodges@allcarehealthcenger.org to confirm a seat on the bus and your lunch!

| | Snuggle Up for Facebook Live Storytime- All Day Friday | | |
Get ready for a day full of smiles, stories, and special guests! On Friday, August 8, we’re bringing back our beloved Facebook Live Story Time—and this year, we’ve invited some of our generous Community Impact Sponsors to join the All Care team in reading favorite children’s books throughout the day.
From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, tune in with your little ones to hear fun and heartwarming stories shared by familiar faces. Whether you catch a reading live or watch it later, it’s a great way to celebrate literacy, learning, and community connection—all from the comfort of home.
Visit our Facebook page throughout the day and enjoy the magic of story time with All Care and our incredible partners. Pajamas and snacks encouraged!
| | Building Trust, Strengthening Connections: Private Events at MICAH House & New Visions | | |
As part of National Health Center Week, All Care will host private outreach events at both New Visions Homeless Services and MICAH House—two of our trusted community partners. These gatherings are designed to build trust, help guests feel more comfortable accessing healthcare, and provide a chance to meet All Care providers face-to-face.
Participants will learn about the services available to them, ask questions, and gain confidence in navigating care. These events foster a sense of connection, compassion, and community—offering not just information, but genuine support and a space to be seen and heard.
You can help us celebrate National Health Center Week with a gift to our Homeless Healthcare Fund, which provides direct support for medical, dental, behavioral health, and outreach services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Thanks to the generosity of the Rupert Dunklau Foundation, every gift to this fund is currently being matched dollar-for-dollar, helping us unlock a $20,000 grant commitment. That means your support goes twice as far in helping us deliver compassionate care to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Please consider helping All Care to provide compassionate care.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face homelessness without access to the care they deserve.
