Message from Family Sharing

Thank you to everyone who continues to navigate the road construction, drop off donations, and shop at our resale store. Your support makes it possible for us to provide food and assistance to local families who rely on our pantry.

Last Thursday, a construction crew accidentally cut the phone and internet line serving our building. We have since been informed by AT&T that they will not repair the damaged line because it is considered outdated technology. As a result, we are currently without phone and internet service and are unable to process credit card transactions in the resale boutique. Until we can get back online, we are operating on a CASH-ONLY basis.

This disruption affects more than our daily operations; it impacts our ability to efficiently serve the families who turn to us for help. We are exploring every option to restore service as quickly as possible.

If you have a high-level contact at AT&T or know someone who may be able to help us get connected again, we would be very grateful to hear from you. My email is julie@familysharingozaukee.org

Thank you for your patience, your generosity, and your continued commitment to helping us care for our neighbors in need.

... Julie Hoover, Executive Director

FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS!

Family Sharing is pleased to announce that we will be providing free summer meals to kids this summer.

In partnership with the Wisconsin State Department of Public Instruction and the United States Department of Agriculture, Family Sharing will be providing five days worth of nutritious breakfasts and lunches every week!

The distributions will be every Monday from 4pm – 6pm at the YMCA Feith Family Branch.

Family Sharing is the leader in child nutrition programing, and we are honored to now be providing free summer meals through the federal Summer Food Service Program.

If you signed up for this program, you will be receiving an email this weekend to confirm your status. We had an unprecedented demand and we appreciate your patience as we navigate this new program!

The Farm Program

We are so excited to announce our new program!

Thanks to our new partnership with Bonim Farms, we are able to plant nine rows of fresh produce this year, with the ability to scale up year after year.

TMJ4 came out and did a story to highlight the efforts of the new program. You can watch the clip here:

Late spring and summer are typically the slowest times for food drive donations. Any support you can give will ensure that our shelves stay stocked all summer. You can help Family Sharing by supporting any of these events. Contact us at 262-377-0634.
