At the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County we are working hard to provide tools and resources to you as well as the hundreds of child care providers that contract with us, to assist in providing alternative options for your child's care. November is Family Engagement Month
November is Florida Family Engagement in Education Month, a time to celebrate the crucial role parents and families play in their children's education. When schools work together with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed, not just in school, but throughout life.

Celebrate Children's Book Week With Us...virtually!
Children’s Book Week is the annual celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading. Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. November is Military Family Month. If you are a military family, especially if one parent is actively deployed, it can be challenging to stay engaged in your child’s learning and development. If you have young children, it is especially important for you to connect with your child on a regular basis.

For the first time in 37 years, Miami Dade College(MDC) will transform its iconic Miami Book Fair (MBF), a weeklong celebration of books and writers in downtown Miami, into a free virtual event from November 15 through the 22. As in years past, the Fair will feature programs in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole representing fiction, politics, history, memoir, comics, poetry, among other genres, as well as an extensive program for children and teens. Using the 3Ts At Meal Time
Meal time is a great time to use the 3Ts with your child! Tune In to the specific foods your child is focused on. Talk More about the different foods on his plate. Describe the colors and textures using a wide variety of words. Take Turns to have a conversation with your child. Find more tips for talking and interacting with your child at
