We’re excited to welcome the community to our Open House on Monday, May 18 from 4:00–6:00 PM. Stop in for a behind-the-scenes look at our space, meet our team, and enjoy a few surprises along the way.

We have a date for Empty Bowls - please mark your calendars for Friday, October 30.

Thank you to the Community

The support of this community fills us with joy! We are thrilled by the many groups that come in to learn about Family Sharing and volunteer their time.

We hosted a group of volunteers from Kinseth Hospitality who put together some spring bags for our Bags in Backpacks program. Thank you so much for your help!

We are SO grateful to Port Washington State Bank for their generous donation of $3,500! These donations allow us to provide meals for clients all over the county!

Girl Scout Troop 8109 came in to decorate bags for our Senior Delivery. What a great way to do some service for others!

Interns from Charter volunteered to put together some summer fun bags for our Bags in Backpacks program. Thanks, Charter!

From the Pantry

Maggie's Food Drive

Maggie Johnson, a dedicated young philanthropist from Cedarburg, is celebrating the 8th year of her individual food drive in support of Family Sharing. What began as a personal initiative at just 7 years old has now grown into a tradition that has helped collect thousands of pounds of food for local families in need. She is out to surpass her goal this year. She has collected over 15,000 pounds of food since her first food drive.

The food drive will run through the end of April, and community members are encouraged to drop off donations at Maggie’s home at N70 W5450 Bridge Street, Cedarburg. All donations will directly benefit Family Sharing, an organization dedicated to providing food assistance to local families.

Let’s help Maggie reach her goal of over 3000 pounds of food again this year!

Spring Cleaning in the Pantry!

A huge thank you and shoutout to Dan Anderson, one of our dedicated volunteers who delivers our backpack program to schools every Friday with his wife, Bonnie, for constructing a shelving unit to house all of the crates upstairs in the area where folks assemble the Backpacks in Bags program.

As many of you have seen, we spent time redesigning our display freezers in the pantry. All the old racks have been replaced, and everything matches. After removing all items, we also spent time cleaning the shelving. Further, everything is forward-facing as you would see in a grocery store.

Great Harvest Bakery

We'd like to thank Great Harvest Bakery & Cafe and their owner, Paul, for their generous donations to our pantry. The products they provide go directly to our pantry clients, individuals, and families from across Ozaukee County. They are a great bakery, so if you're ever in their area be sure to stop by!

Late spring and summer are typically the slowest times for food drive donations. Any support you can give will ensure that our shelves stay stocked all summer. You can help Family Sharing by supporting any of these events. Contact us at 262-377-0634.
