Greetings to all from our Global Partners Team!
Every fall, ELCA congregations and ministries are invited to celebrate our church’s connections and common mission within Christ’s global church by celebrating Global Church Sunday. This includes long- and short- term missionaries, YAGMs ( Young Adults in Global Mission ), ELCA connections with Lutheran World Relief , worldwide hunger , water , malaria , AIDS and church building projects, our Companion Synods in El Salvador and Hong Kong and more, as well as the projects and visits through our individual local congregations. Resources for worship or special events are available through ELCA Global Missions , and resources and videos are linked below.

This year our team is requesting special offerings for finishing the remodeled Salvadoran Syno d central church, Resurrection, in San Salvador . Walls and roof are complete and services can now be held inside, but there is much yet to be done. Donations can be sent to the SWCA Synod with "Global Missions/El Salvador" on the memo line. You can also donate by going to this link and choosing "Build Resurrection ."
Thank you for all your participation as we lift up our international sisters and brothers and share in proclaiming our Lord through our partnerships.

Young Adults in Global Mission
Get to know some of the Young Adults in Global Mission
One second every day during a YAGM year in Rwanda
A year of service through the Young Adults in Global Mission program invites young adults to become the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, providing critical support to ministries and projects in communities of need. It also invites volunteers into a journey of self-reflection, providing space to consider their sense of identity, God’s work in the world, and their place within it all.

Lutheran World Relief
Lutheran World Relief was mobilized by American Lutheran Churches to assist Europeans affected by World War II. Now, with 100  local partners , they work to improve harvests, health and education in some 35 countries each year. LWR partners train local women and men to produce local foods, dig low-cost wells and protect and restore their local environments. Some partners are small village groups on the edge of the Sahara. Others are nationwide programs that may reach across the Andes.

Lutheran World Relief: Coffee is life. Here's what that means.
