It was a day filled with creativity, inspiration, and community as we celebrated the incredible impact the arts have throughout Huntingdon County. From showcasing amazing local talent to embracing a bold vision for the future, the excitement was contagious.
Congratulations to the Huntingdon County Arts Council on this exciting milestone! We can't wait to see all that this new chapter brings as they continue to inspire creativity, connect our community, and help make Huntingdon County an even more vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

PennDOT Making $41M in Grants Available for State Rail Projects

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced that the application period for grants under the Rail Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP) and the Rail Freight Assistance Program (RFAP) will open Aug. 3. The state will make $41 million available between the two programs, which are designed to boost and support economic development by maintaining or expanding rail freight service. “Pennsylvania has a robust rail freight network and the Commonwealth values and invests in this critical transportation mode that businesses rely on,” said PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll. “Supporting rail freight is another part of the Shapiro Administration‘s work to improve the infrastructure connecting our communities and to grow Pennsylvania’s economy.” According to Carroll, Pennsylvania has 65 operating railroads, which he said is more than any other state in the nation. With this funding, PennDOT is committing to work with private rail operators and businesses to construct new rail lines and assist in maintaining and improving Pennsylvania’s more than 5,500 miles of freight lines.

Kish Bancorp, Inc. Appoints Members to Bancorp and Bank Boards of Directors
STATE COLLEGE, PA, July 28, 2026 – Kish Bancorp, Inc. The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again host Huntingdon County Community Night at the Altoona Curve on Saturday, August 15, with first pitch at 6:00 p.m. We invite our members, local businesses, organizations, families, and community supporters to join us for an evening of baseball, community spirit, and giving back.
