Hike/Paddle the Ogunquit River
Great Works Regional Land Trust and HeRO (Healthy Rivers Oqunquit) are partnering on a two-part paddle/walk on July 16 and 23 to help connect watershed residents to their river. The paddle is scheduled for July 16; arrive at World Within Sea Kayaking at 1:30pm for an introduction to the paddle, with a 2pm boat launch. There is a fee to rent boats: $35 for single & $45 for double. Guides will be placed along different points of the river to identify special features. There are a limited number of boats and parking, so register early. Once you have registered for the outing with GWRLT, we will email a notification for when the boats are available to reserve at
World Within Sea Kayaking.  

 The walk, at Beach Plum Farm on July 23 from 10-11:30am is free,
but limited to 35 people.

FRIDAY, JULY 1 - SATURDAY, AUGUST 6
Based on the 1963 movie, a nerdy professor whose job is in jeopardy creates a formula to transform himself from outcast to influencer with hilarious consequences! This new musical comedy from Tony Award winners Rupert Holmes and Marvin Hamlisch will touch your heart and tickle your funny bone. Dan De Luca (Disney’s Newsies), Elena Ricardo (Broadway’s Beautiful), Jeff McCarthy (Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast), and Klea Blackhurst (OP’s Ragtime) headline this spectacular cast!
This new event will be held one night each month on a Saturday from
3-7pm and will feature artists in a variety of mediums.
There is no charge to view the art and listen to music. Cocktails will be available for purchase. Foot traffic is welcome. Visitors that are not guests are asked to park in the public parking lots.
 Artistic Bookbinding - Saturdays from 9:30-11:30am at the library
 
This is an established group that meets weekly at the library and welcomes interested newbies to come learn about the art of bookbinding.

Children’s Story Hour on the Lawn - Tuesdays from 9:30-10:30am
 
Ogunquit Memorial Library presents Children’s Story Hour on the Lawn every Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am. Bring a blanket and join us on the library lawn to hear a story, move your body & do an activity. This program is appropriate for ages 2-6, and siblings are always welcome. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be moved inside.

Historic Walking Tours: Perkins Cove
Every Monday & Wednesday, 10-11am
Ogunquit Heritage Museum is proud to announce their tour of the Cove, taking you back to the turn of the last century and before. The tour offers many insights into the history of Perkins Cove and is accompanied by a brochure showing 19 wonderful vintage photographs. Reservations are required. Sunday Chill at the Hill

Ogunquit Museum of American Art (OMAA) has opened for the 2022 season with a full slate of new exhibitions, programs, and a newly renovated space.
The museum is open daily, 10am-5pm, through October 31. 
 
This season, the Museum will feature a variety of paintings, sculpture, historic photography, political cartoons, and a dash of hopefulness.
The museum opened with two exhibitions that will continue through July 19: Josephine Halvorson: On the Ground, and Philip Koch: Isle of Dreams.
The second half of the season opens on August 1 with two new exhibitions and continues through Oct. 31: Sue Miller: Personal Voyage, and John Walker: From Low Tide to High Tide. 
In addition, six exhibitions will be open throughout the season:
Jim Morin: Drawing and Painting; Virginia Overton: Untitled (Cardinal C-80); The View from Narrow Cove; I’ll Bring the Luck with Me: Hunting and Fishing with Henry Strater; Robert Laurent: Open Studio; and Hopeful: A Project by Charlie Hewitt.
