We are always glad to see our local "regulars" in the store but it is also fun hearing from Book Trail trekkers about their road trip and their own local indie.

Do you plan on stopping by? There are tons of new releases on shelves, including Xochitl Gonzalez's Last Night In Brooklyn, Julia Langbein's Dear Monica Lewinsky (I cannot wait to discuss this with any and everyone who reads it!) and a much-anticipated memoir from Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Jayne Anne Phillips called Small Town Girls. Lastly, Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother's Day are coming up in early May and we have greeting cards and gifts for anyone you wish to celebrate.

Barrett Bookstore is popping up at Hot Takes

We are pleased to be the exclusive bookseller for Hot Takes, coming to the Westport Playhouse on Wednesday, May 13th. A women’s wellness symposium designed to cut through the noise and empower women navigating through an evolving midlife health journey, Hot Takes features a marketplace from 6 - 7 pm followed by guest speakers Dr. Rachele Pojednic, Dr. Shieva Ghofrany, Dr. Katie Takayasu, Gayle Greenberger, MS, ED., LPC, and Dina Aronson.
