It's amazing how the first few months of 2024 whizzed by so quickly ... Finally, we were off on our long awaited European holiday. Spending some restful time in the peace and quiet of Italy's Lago d'orta ... then off to Vienna to enjoy its "coffee culture" and yummy desserts as well as seeing Gustav Klimt's amazing "The Kiss" in person!

Our last stop was Budapest, Hungary, a beautiful city surrounding stretch of the blue Danube River with castles, medieval villages and storybook palaces.

Such a whirlwind trip with a taste of the good life! Art, good food and amazing culture... with incredible scenery and historical sites.

The Ruby gemstone is one of the four main precious gemstones. It is a red stone that rates 9

on the Mohs hardness scale (diamond rates 10 for hardest stone). The Ruby crystal is a variety of corundum (aluminium oxide) and this is what gives the stone its red coloring. It is part of

the hexagonal crystal system and is an expensive precious stone with a higher price for the quality of cut and carat.

Meaning: Ruby is a stone of passion, protection, and prosperity, symbolizing the sun and imbued with an intense life force that wards off negativity and psychic attacks.

Healing Properties: It is believed to promote healing by improving blood circulation, detoxifying the body, and treating fevers and infectious diseases.

Protection: Rubies offer protection by encouraging a courageous state of mind and promoting safety when traveling or in the presence of negative energies.

Usage: In usage, rubies are often worn as jewelry or carried as talismans to enhance motivation, set realistic goals, and stimulate the heart chakra.

Care: To care for ruby crystals, they should be cleansed with sage, sound, moonlight, or earth, and recharged by the sun for the best energetic effect.
