I love the feel of sunny summer freedom, especially after surviving the scorching summer heat last week.

July is a month of celebration, even more so this year as we can finally go out and see extended family and friends in person. I'm looking forward to going on trips and visiting exciting places soon!

JULY Birthstone RUBY

A ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum. Other varieties of gem-quality corundum are called sapphires. Ruby is one of the traditional cardinal gems, together with amethyst, sapphire, emerald, and diamond. The word ruby comes from ruber, Latin for red.

The history of rubies is a story rich in splendor and mystery. These precious gems have been mentioned in the Bible, worn by royalty throughout human history, and are believed to protect ancient warriors in battle. They have been thought to act as a talisman for peace and a promise of wisdom and health for the holder. They are associated with love, passion, and power. Anne cherished her old rings that were left to her a long time ago, even after the emerald pearl ring wore out and broke! As the emerald & pearl flower was so delicate, I decided to set the flower like a stone and mount it along with the gold design from the original band. Repurposed the three rubies to form two additional stacking rings for Anne to enjoy and cherish again!
