Teach us to Pray

I praise and thank You, O Lord, for the gift of Your Son who teaches us today how to pray in Matthew’s Gospel. He gives us a more intimate way of offering You our praise, adoration, thanksgiving, as well as petition. Give me the grace today to have that love, trust, obedience, dependence and repentance that this prayer includes to honor You. Your Son poured out His life on the Cross to come among and teach us. May my life give You the deep feelings of this powerful prayer as I recite it each day.

I ask You this in Jesus’ name.
