A bright orange and black Baltimore Oriole perched on a branch with fresh green leaves. In the lower left corner, a circular logo for General Assembly 2025 features the words "General Assembly • Baltimore • June 18-22, 2025" around the edge, with the letters "GA" filled with a web of connected dots. Silhouettes of diverse people holding hands appear at the bottom of the letters. Below the logo, the words "Meet the Moment" are written in purple text.

Sing Out Love: A Joyful General Assembly Hymn Sing

singing_with_ipad_tablet image

Before we gather for Sunday Worship, come Sing Out Love with us! On Sunday morning, June 22, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (ET), all GA registrants—whether in person or online—are invited to a joyful, spirit-filled hymn sing.

This multiplatform event will celebrate the power of music in Unitarian Universalist faith, lifting our voices together across time and space. Through song, we will embrace the themes of liberation, justice, and love that ground us as a people of faith.

Rolling Out the Sing Out Love Virtual Hymnal

At this year’s General Assembly, we are thrilled to introduce Sing Out Love, the new UUA Virtual Hymnal! Developed in consultation with the Association for Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries (AUUMM), the Virtual Hymnal Task Force has been working since March 2023 to create an accessible, equitable, and evolving collection of songs that reflect our prophetic calling as a joyful, liberatory, and anti-oppressive faith.

From Singing the Living Tradition to Singing the Journey to Las Voces del Camino, our hymnals have shaped the musical story of Unitarian Universalism. Now, Sing Out Love carries that legacy forward—embracing the songs of today and tomorrow.

Come sing with us on Sunday morning, June 22, and be part of this next chapter in UU music!

Air Quality at the Baltimore Convention Center

This image shows a large "WELCOME" sign inside a spacious, modern building with high ceilings and geometric structural elements. The sign consists of bold white letters placed inside colorful triangular backgrounds (blue, green, orange, and red). The area appears to be a convention center or similar venue, with large windows providing a view of greenery outside. There are escalators and glass railings, suggesting a multi-level space with visitors walking around.

The Baltimore Convention Center (BCC) is deeply committed to maintaining high air quality standards, and has implemented several measures to ensure a healthy environment for everyone in the building:

  • Hospital-Grade Filtration: The BCC uses MERV-16 air filters, the same standard used in hospitals, to effectively capture airborne particles and pathogens.
  • Frequent Air Exchange: The facility’s ventilation system fully exchanges indoor air with fresh outdoor air four times per hour, keeping air fresh and circulating continuously.
  • Ongoing Air Quality Monitoring: Air quality is continuously monitored — including carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) — through the Center’s energy management system, ensuring optimal indoor air conditions.

These initiatives are part of the BCC’s larger commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The Center has achieved third-party certification of the ASTM/APEX Standards for environmentally sustainable meetings, further demonstrating its dedication to providing a safe, healthy, and eco-conscious space for events like GA.

We look forward to welcoming you to General Assembly 2025 — together, we can help care for one another and ensure a safe and inclusive experience for all.

Spring Forward — and Meet the Moment!

An illustrated clock with a floral design. The clock face is framed by orange petal-like shapes, resembling a flower. The clock hands point to just after 1:00, with a curved arrow indicating the changing of the clocks for spring. Surrounding the clock are green leaves and orange and yellow flowers. The background is a soft cream color with a purple border.

This weekend, we spring forward — set your clocks ahead one hour! It’s a small shift, but every moment matters (especially when we’re counting down to General Assembly 2025).

At GA 2025, we’ll be gathering to Meet the Moment — embracing change, showing up with courage, and creating what’s next together.

So set your clocks, savor that extra cup of coffee, and remember — whether it’s springing forward or stepping boldly into the future, we’re ready to Meet the Moment together!

Before You Go: A Blessing in Song

In our excitement as we collectively wait to explore the songs that will be included in the new hymnal, we leave you with a beautiful hymn written by Michael Abels that has been shared by the UU Musicians Network and included in UU gatherings across the country over the past few years. "Be the Change" by Michael Abels speaks powerfully to those gathering at General Assembly to discuss the UUA's future and to in community together. The line "the sound of a movement begins with one voice" reminds us that change starts with the individual but grows through the community we build together.

This is an image of a diverse group of people gathered at the General Assembly Sunday Worship. Many individuals in the crowd display solemn or reflective expressions, with some having their hands open in a gesture of openness or prayer, while others place their hands over their hearts. The participants wear various styles of clothing, including event badges and lanyards, indicating they are part of an organized gathering. The atmosphere suggests a moment of collective reflection, worship, or solidarity.
